Sunday's watch pickup....not as I expected....

Well, despite the 32C sweltering heat, the wife and I did our honey-do List...
I had to get the G Shock and so we hit that store first. To my ignorance, I mistook that DW9052 model and it turned out to be lousy...nylon band frayed and not the right caliber. Then to examine the Frogman. It was mint but...the time readout was rather hard to read quickly. So...we decided to hit another fav store to see what I could find. Sure enough, a NOS G Shock DW9000AS-T, a 1997 Triple Crown of Hawaii Commemorative. Casio had many such commemoratives....

but I sort of like this one. The big screen display appeals to me much better than the split screen in the other one you thought you were going to buy.
I guess the only thing that would really make it a non starter would be the size...you know me and hub caps
