Likely will be one of these....Last trip I took two, my Landtrek GMT and another GMT...but ended up using just the landtrek....

This time I want only one watch, simple at changing to local time and date and then forgetting it until my return....my tentative choice is the Seiko hybrid...quartz...or the Bond..auto and handwinding capability....

I intend on buying that VW Bus dial watch with the Ronda 712 movement while in Vancouver too! hehe!

The X33 might also be an option - but that one is more expensive and harder to replace if anything happens - on the other hand it is almost 'as good as (some) cash'

Seriously - the Seiko digital is just fine - IMHO very easy to switch from one timezone to another, and if anything happens to it you can buy a new one on return.

sleep mode and shuts off...when it reactivates in the morning when I turn on the lamp by the computer, I notice it reverted to default setting of only Japan time.....of course it is easy enough to set it to dual time showing, which a great feature for me, knowing Japan time (and what our kids might be doing). But I hate to have to fiddle with it during the 2 weeks. I just want to set a watch once while there and forget about it....so the simplest watch is IMO the best ....

......... have a back-up. Take the Seiko LCD but also have the Omega Chrono with you. Think about this: what if an EMP (Electro-Magnetic-Pulse) bomb goes off in Vancouver???
