This model came our in 2009 and is the SBPG003, the black version. Not yet sized for my wrist, I still put it on just to feel it...impressed how it sits and looks. Thin rather than thick like my divers etc, this digital looks good. The casing and bracelet feel solid, not rattley. Case width is 40mm, so nice size for my 6.5inch wrist. Found used, the price was 19,800yen or around $240usd. When new, petew's blog said it was listed at 30,000yen or so....the watch came with the kit...

The black-IP one is a little more expensive than the simple steel one - and I wonder what you can tell us about the scratch resistance!

the coating stood up well. He wore his for several years and had no probs...

The accuracy spec is nothing spectacular at +-15secs/month but for the bucks/quality, and 41mm width size, this one will get some rotation time. It wears thin but still has decent weight, looks stealthy and more legible than my older Gs haha!

No need to worry about accuracy. Atomic clock to the rescue!

I remember Jeff C. had the stainless version of this watch and loved it. He said it was ideal for traveling. I once considered one of the 5600 series G's but thought these were a dressier alternative. I didn't want to spend the pesos at the time and never did get one. BTW, the new Omega is no slouch either, congrats!
