I think this is Wayne's (the original owner of the SCWF) site.
I may be wrong so please correct me if need be. Now I'm thinking
of ordering a watch from this site and I just wanted to be sure it's
still up and running. I never hear of anyone referring to, or purchasing
from this site.
Any info on it?

All of a sudden my tastes have changed fairly drastically.
Pretty soon I'll be wearing stretchy pants and socks with sandals.
Maybe even white belts:)
These watces are both under $150, and are quartz.
Anyway, here are the two "old man" watches this old man is considering:

This "datejust" would look great on a nice croco strap:

You cab order from him with complete confidence. As I mentioned to you in our e-mails I recommend that you borrow two of my watches to see if the style will hold up for you. One is my Seiko Cal. 66 handwind which is a bit like the Orient you are considering. The other one is my Fuji which is Citizen 8200 powered and very much a datejust homage...

runniung the watch site. BTW , he is a specialist in urban insects and often came/comes to Japan to give seminars and studies. Several years ago, we were to meet up in Nara City for lunch, but he came down with a cold haha!

if response is a bit slow. I asked if a certain watch was in stock last fall, intending to buy it, but it took several weeks to find out that it had been out of stock for some time. Which brings up the point that his site is not necessarily up to date.

wayne last evening to inquire as to availability of watch. He replied this morning saying that yes it's available and sent me the PP invoice for when I'm ready to make payment.
Also indicated how he would ship and roughly when I could expect arrival of package.
So for those, myself included, who wondered about his service, so far, so good.

I bought most of my stuff from Higuchi or Chino Watch. I am glad to hear that Dr. Lee is still involved in the watch industry.

since she is the only one handling the site, last time I heard. Lee is quite busy with his real profession, I would imagine, travelling around attending conferences, researching, giving seminars on urban insects....
