Last year many posters simply could not stand gold watches...too blingy, they complained. But I think gold watches and trimmed ones will make a comeback shortly....When economic times get tough, gold seems to rise to the top again....
Singapore, with its large Indian population, is buying more gold jewelry for weddings, for instance. At least in the Asian countries, the color gold has never been out of vogue....

Here is my all gold plated 1974 Seiko Bell-matic, auto....

Seiko Leganza chrono 2 toned gold...

Vintage Omega pre-bond quartz gold bezel with champagne dial 1987...

Seiko 1974 LM SPECIAL caliber 5216 Daini auto, handwinder 28,800bph faceted crystal midsized

Omega Polaris model late 1980s inlaid gold 2 toned midsized....

... Here's the gold cased (plated & solid) watches that I have that i currently wear. I have a few others that need TLC to wear but don't have any pics of 'em

Solid gold cased Orient Royal Star handwind:

Gold plated Orient Star:

Gold plated Orient handwind:

Gold plated Orient Daydate (President):

Seiko gold plated cased 7625-8033 SGP-1

I have a gold plated version of this one as well but no pic of it Seiko 7009-8129-SPG-1

And last my Gold plated bezel/lugged stainless cased Omega Connie

These are what I consider "dress" watches but do have other "sport" watches w/ gold .That's all for now
