the title of the forum

im not trying to be a pain in the butt...
well as im not a native to north america and im not into goldfish
what if was to keep fish of my native country and needed advice..it could lead to confusion to new fish keepers
i wanted to ask if Gudgeon's could be kept in a tank.. or if theyre better of in the wild

If it were "fish of your native country" there would be an assortment of kerjumbled posts, and there is a large number of people just keeping North American Natives.

Most South American species are tropical, so it's be stupid to include them in this part of the forum

i live in england and i know its not a huge fish, and i just wanted to know whether it would be possible to keep them in a tank or not

I imagine your referring to Gobio gobio, then? They should be fine in an aquarium, but keep in mind that they require a temp of around 2 – 18°C.

ahh that could prove a problem ... my room temp never drops below 19c and as ive not got a big room and ive only got a 20g tank and in the afternoons in the summer the sun pitches into my bedroom
so then the temp increases somewhat
