I'm making my own recipe for it, it has epsom salt, non-iodized salt and ice cream salt. it seems to work. any suggestions for it?

Well, we already had the ice cream salt lol

I looked it up on another website (which I'm not going to mention) and it said baking soda, Epsom salts and non-iodized table salt.

it works, the fish seem more active than with normal aquarium salt that you buy, and stress has gone down dramatically.

Thats what i like, stuff that works LOL. Keep us posted please, if you notice any detrimental effects. cant comment much on this experiment, but i do know there are lots of traces in sea salt that may or may not cause long term damage if not in there. You might want to check further what these missing traces do for your fish if left out.

I can't remember, I relly just add-lib (that's music talk, play where it sounds right). But I haven't done a water change in about 2 weeks. I can't though, we ran bleach through our well so theres a little too much for my fish, but not enough for me not to drink it.

this is freshwater salt right? cuz you don't have any saltwater tanks... at least you haven't told me you got one
My reef is my expression... its a mixed bag of a bit of everthing with no clear theme all including mood swings, many odd quirks, nooks, crannies, and the best part: growth
Questions about saltwater? Wanna set up an amazing reef display and want to do it right? Just ask!

yeah, it's aquarium salt. It reduces stress, all that kinda stuff. But I stopped using it, I went to a website for official DIY aquarium salt recipes, so I' using epsom salt and non'iodized salt. i' not sure about baking soda though.
