I would have liked to hear an answer on this question, I’m curious about this myself.

I thought we had a few guys on the forum from out in Sask or had lived out there for a few years.
It would be fun to get some insight...

Sask huge. Effective hunting area for whitetails 100 times that of NW Ont deer range. Both areas have suffered some from predation and overharvest. Both comparable but I would not go hunting either area with high expectations. Northern Alta quite good and the best hunting for trophy WT south of border but access to prime areas tough everywhere.

Hey, Good to hear from you... I wonder if the northwest or northeastern part of the province is better?

Northwest by a fair margin. Northeast does not have much for deer. Southern Ontario is quite good if you can find a place to hunt and there are deer along the north shore of lake superior with good numbers as you get closer to Thunder Bay but those units off limits to non-residents. Closest you could get to hunting unit 13 with decent deer populations would be hunting the far eastern end of 12b.
