Thank you to everyone for attending the AGM for the upcoming winter season. A number of items were discussed and the results were as follows:
The committee will remain the same (Allan - Chairman, Jon - Secretary, Mark - Treasurer) although help was asked for when collecting in trophies. This should be a relatively small job as trophies should be returned to the mid-season meeting.
The fees will remain the same (£95 plus singles £2 and pairs £4)
The proposed idea of changing the singles draw to a 'blind draw' was rejected sighting the existing 'from the hat' draw as working well.
Several venues for Finals Night etc were confirmed: Finals Night - Paulton Rovers, Over 50s/Ladies - Mardons, Knockout/Subsidiary - Norton SC, Div Singles - Westhill & Crown. Westhill will confirm.
In 'any other business', Mark suggested that anyone interested in playing for The Courage Superleague team should make themselves known to himself or Dave Jewell. Allan wanted suggestions of a 'competition' or award to replace the Under 25 competition. One idea of a 'Most Improved Player' award was put forward and possibly the specifics can be worked on. The league was asked to consider ideas and maybe we will discuss them at the mid-season meeting.
At the time of writing we have 13 confirmed teams. This is the worst scenario in a two division structure. Although we tentatively drew up the divisions after the meeting last night will are waiting on contact from a couple of prospective teams before confirming the final structure. If anybody is aware of anyone who'd like to join the league, please let us know asap.

We will be taking a (much deserved!) week off next week then we will start with:
October 4th: Over 50s/Ladies at Mardons. ('Ladies' is open to ladies who play in either summer or winter seasons)
October 11th Divisional Singles - Venues TBC
October 18th: League start
