Notifications going to wrong person

The owner of this board   https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/the50scommunity/  is receiving notifications for her own actions.

e.g. she replies to a topic, she gets a notification telling her she replied to that topic.


she sends a pm to another admin but the pm goes to her own box. (this seems to be working ok today but has been dodgy for weeks)

This was also reported here - notifications-weird-problem-t38610.html - and Howdy has been investigating it. In our case the PM itself was going to the correct place, but the e-mail notification was being sent to the founder's e-mail address.

I've also encountered that WOC, it caused quite a bit of distress to the Founder.  They clicked on the notification, got directed to the pm, but the pm showed as having been deleted. Confusion reigned, chaos ensued and  friendships were lost.
Not everyone is savvy enough with this new platform to understand how things work and determine what is a bug as opposed to deliberate mischief.


The bug reported in this thread seems to be a foible on that particular board. For months the owner has been unable to message me. It's only a very small board so we didn't worry about it, but in light of all the other strange things that have been happening I think it's time someone took a look.

Hi 
a fix has been pulled online to resolve the admin logging into other admin's account issue and this email notification being sent to the wrong recipient issue. Please verify and confirm.

I can confirm that the founder address on my board is no longer receiving e-mails about PMs and new posts. I have sent a PM to Gill and asked her to confirm that she gets an e-mail about it - I will let you know on that one.

Edited to add : yes, she did get the e-mail, so it looks as though this problem has now been fixed. Thank you.

Hi, so far so good.
I have been able to access the Customise control panel without being forced to take ownership.
No-one has been in my squirrel suit in the last 24 hours.
Notifications seem to be going to the right places.
