why do you insist on changing things that don't need changing?
And why make it so hard to have customised skins?

We were shanghaied from our former platforms where everyone had bright colourful individual forums - surely it would make sense to give the customers what they want, which is not a bland generic one size fits all look.

i guess i'd better pack for my sabbatical too.

Yep. I'm sure I speak for a lot of forum owners when I say we don't have a problem with Tapatalk branding the top and the bottom of our forums. We accept that.

But why are Tapatalk denying us the option of changing the bit in between?? What difference does it make to Tapatalk if every other forum LOOKS different from the last one??

Please help us out here....

Pepe,  You have it in a nutshell - our Yuku forums were able to be personalised to make them all unique

Thank goodness to you & Skwerl otherwise my forum would be very bland - it is now almost as good as the one I had on Yuku except for all the multiple problems I have had since the move to TT
It is just one thing after another it seems

Makes you feel like giving up in frustration but I am not going to lose 15 years of work & my wonderful group members because of it so all I can do is carry on

Thank you both again for your wonderful help in the transition - you have no idea how much it means to our group members, many of whom are elderly (including myself)

Also another huge thank you to all the wonderful group members on this Help forum who go out of their way to help other Admins - you are all very much appreciated

liz we were glad we could help.

i have no problem with the branding or the ads - tapatalk are a business and have every right to generate revenue

what i am frustrated at is the total lack of consideration of what we the customers want and the total disregard of customers feedback.

I get they don't want to have the extra work of maintaining the skins, it would be a huge amount, but i don't get why things that work fine the way they are keep being changed which results in our skins breaking.

Pepe,  I agree - if it ain't broke then don't fix it !!!1

Leave well enough alone and it would prevent a lot of aggravation

I am sure there are many Admins struggling to fix up their Groups since the move - it has been a very stressful time for me I can tell you & happened at the same time as a death in the family - who needs it?

So has anyone found a new code that works, at least until broken again?

People should cut down the use of custom code to a minimum. All the changes have been for me, eventually, positive so far.
