Are you using any third party plugin to achieve the Invite feature?

I will need to ask but I don't think requesting every user that complains to submit what addons they are using so you can patch it is the answer. Closed in app registration means closed it shouldn't matter what addons you are using.

To add to this:

I have in-app registration disabled on 2 forums

On one, it allows the registration to occur without redirecting to the broswer page

On the other, it pops up the notice to go to the browser to register.

I do not have any invite system in place.

We are currently looking into this issue as it sounds like a regression issue since recently we introduced ability to manually register in app without Tapatalk ID. We will have an answer very soon.

But it also entirely possible that other add-on can intervene each other as they were never been tested running together.

It won't open a browser page to send user to registration page but it should have a popup notice to tell you to use web browser to register (which is your second case)

Then can I request what file to manually edit so registration is totally disabled and there's no possibility this can happen again.
