First of all, I want to say thank you so much for having looked into the "birthday" feature. It was a vital aspect to many of our communities, and we had gotten used to wishing people happy birthday on their day. Not having that 'birthday feature' these last few months has made doing so impossible. So thank you for finding a way to bring it back.

Secondly, I see it here on the support forum, but have refreshed my own personal forums and can not see it. I've also gone through the ACP and seen if there was a new 'setting' (there's the question about displaying birthdays, which I have shown as yes already), also looked in the Tapatalk console. Nothing different.

So is this being displayed on the support forum as a trial run to see if it works? If so when do you think it might be ready for platform wide release? If we should be seeing it already, but aren't....is there a setting somewhere I haven't found? Will there being an ACP control setting for the feature? Or will it be automatic?

They replied to my question saying "before Christmas", so within 3 weeks.
Hopefully here IS  a trial....too many features are being experimented on their Customers live forums as it is.

Sometimes, features get added to support before they get added to other forums, this is an opportunity to try it out and find some bugs that might be hiding.

Yes to your question, it is coming to all boards. Very soon.

The setting to turn this on or off will be on the load settings page.

Perfect, thank you. Just wanted to know where to look when it did roll out to ensure I'm able to get it up and going as soon as its released.

In fact, I might just have a bug for you though.

Here on the support forum, I have my birth month and birth day filled in, but not my birth year.

When you click on my username, and are taken to my profile...it displays the correct month and day, but seems to be 'guessing' and filling in a year. The forum seemed to have assigned me, for display, the year of 2000...which...while I would love to be that young again...simply isn't the right year.

I would have thought the 'year' portion would have reflected the 'blank' I left it.

Andy,   I am sure there are many people who don't mind giving their birth day & month but don't want to list the year for privacy reasons

If you leave it blank then it should not display any year

Happy to report that this was fixed. Now here at the support forum it only shows the month and day, the mysterious "assigned" year has vanished.

Where is this dispayed please as I can't see it anywhere? (I looked at Andy03's profile and cannot see any birthday info there.) Is it only going to show in the member profile, or is there also going to be a list on the board index page of birthdays coming up in the next 7 days, like we used to have on FF?

Also, does that mean we will be able to include the birthday fields on the registration form? If we have to rely on people going into their profiles after registration to enter the details, it will never get done.

Click on "FORUMS" at the top rather then "DISCUSSIONS" and scroll down to the bottom ....
