Okay! I'm finally done taking inventory, so I should be able to update more regularly now! Currently, my Osu and Mesu are Hyrutchi, which look like little dinosaurs here, but their happy and sad animations have their "limbs" moving to the bottom of their body, so they look more like blobs.
I did take pictures while I wasn't posting, so here's a walkthrough of what happened...
On Friday, I decided to connect Bunbuntchi and Bunkotchi to "wed" them, as I had the next day off and could stay up a little later to take care of the demanding baby phase. So I did the connection at about 9:45pm, just before they went to bed, so that I could do all the hard caretaking at night.
Unfortunately, the connection isn't something that can be captured well in photographs (aside from the fact that my methods for taking photos doesn't work when you have two connected like this). One of my favorite things about the Osu/Mesu is the fun little sounds it has. They are very melodic, and this carries over into the connection part as well. The above animations loop for awhile while the little song plays. The two crinkle the faces and move across the screen very fast when you select the connection icon, then the "OK" option comes up when you hit B again. Then they sort of spin and dance, and the screen goes blank. When it comes back...
The male dances while the female sits and looks disconcerted.
She eventually gives birth to two babies, and one travels over to the Osutchi.
I was surprised that they didn't immediately leave, like the iD L. The caretaking is the same as a non-baby Tamagotchi as well, which I suppose implies that the parents take care of them through that difficult stage. So I was expecting them to leave after an hour.
But they went to bed together, which was too cute! I was surprised when they woke up together and stuck around all day Saturday, so I did some reading. Apparently they stick around for about a day after the connection, then leave in the middle of the night. So I was expecting them to depart at around 12am Sunday morning.
Which they didn't. Still there through Sunday. So I figured I'd wake up with the two Tsubutchi on Monday morning.
Not so much. Such a long time! I thought it might have something to do with the fact I nearly killed them over and over every day with my work schedule (which happened again on Monday). Weirdly, I didn't hear a single discipline call from Friday night through Tuesday morning. I couldn't have missed them all, so perhaps it just doesn't happen when the parents are present.
Tuesday I woke up to two Tsubutchi, though. I still had a bad schedule that day, but I managed to keep them satisfied. I caught two discipline calls. They went to sleep, and evolved into Hyrutchi this morning. Their discipline bar halved, but it's back up to half after another one early this morning. It looks like the evolution paths are set for this generation and not based on care, so I guess the discipline doesn't matter. But I'll keep you posted! Hopefully I can catch some of the animations for the Hyrutchi for tomorrow.
