After 'The Mishap' that befell my beloved 15th Anni. iD L I put all Tamagotchis aside for a while. But now I'm back. I realised I missed them, daft as it sounds. I was having a bad week and I just needed something cute to take my mind off of things; my Tamagotchis have always been perfect at that, even more so than reading usually can. Yes, yes. I find a sort of comfort in these toys, but who cares if it works, if it makes my day a little brighter.
It's because I had a particular bad day last Friday that I got the Miracrise pierce. Apparently my boyfriend bought it ages ago and had been holding on to it for Christmas, but saw I needed cheering up, so he gave it to me early. I'd originally told him I didn't want Miracrise because of the price and I knew he'd pay the close to £100 for it if I didn't make it very clear that I didn't want him too. Fortunately (or so he says), he found it second hand in a bundle with two other pierces for £45, which I think is pretty reasonable.
I am very, very lucky. I'd written off ever having Miracrise and yet here it is, currently plugged in. I also went ahead an ordered Dream to Change! and Anniversary Change! as between the three of them, that's every pierce I ever wanted (the latter two I always said I liked but was not bothered if I never had them, but after getting Miracrise I thought I ought to complete my 'wanted' list).
I've had Miracrise plugged in since Friday and I'm loving it. My boyfriend says it's his favourite banner set. The banner is gorgeous, it's pretty without being too 'cute', although it's still very girly. I guess it's sophisticated; or as sophistiated as a Tamagotchi can get! The wallpaper is also lovely; I particularly like it as it looks like a room, rather than an image or outside (e.g., MelodyLand's Castle wallpaper). I like wallpapers that look like rooms. The combination of the pierce, the purple shell, the banner and the wallpaper works together really nicely. It makes me smile; this is possibly my favourite pierce, although that's perhaps more to do with my boyfriend buying it for me than anything else.
The game is quite fun, too! Parts of a dress fall from the sky and you have to catch the correct pieces. I have a download on my iD L E that's similar, but this one is much easier. You only have to complete two of the 'stacks' on this version and they seem to fall in a better way, rather than all at once (resulting in a fail as you have to catch one piece, which is usually not the one you want). I think it's one of the better pierce games, really.
The location is a bit diffferent to normal, too. There's two places you can go; one is Smartotchi's lab and the other is, I think, where Miraitchi and Clulutchi's mum lives? I've visited both (it's random which you get) and there's a couple of different animation. One of the animations sees your Tama chased by flying hippo/guineapig creatures, which is kinda fun! You can also get the Fashion Designer and the Board by visiting the latter location (I really should find out what it is really called).
There's loads of other stuff to get in the TamaMori too, but I haven't tried any yet. All of my inventories are full and, unlike the iD L with the Market there seems no easy way of selling items. I kept trying to sell items to my Garden visitors, but I mostly ended up with more items than I began with!
So after a few days I decided it was time to marry Chokomakatchi off (I'd got the Guard Hat from sending her to work and hadn't been trying to get any other items since). I sent her to the park where she dated Tacttchi. After that, she had a Pinkbotchi, who became a Petithanatchi, who has since become a Nokobotchi. I decided whichever character I got next I would try to evolve in to a Miracrise character (I had wanted to get four built in characters to unlock the first destination; I'm thinking I might do four built in characters, then a Pierce/VDP character as every fifth, then four built in and so on). I had originally fallen in love with the Miracrise pierce when I found out about the character Miraitchi who had a white topknot and the same name as the character 'Mira' from the anime 'Fairy Tail', which my boyfriend and I were watching through at the time. I loved the idea of having a sort of inadvertant cross over (which makes no sense as I'm not actually a fan of the cross over pierces). Of course, when I'd thought I couldn't get the Miracrise pierce, I'd resigned myself to getting her on the 4U/+[/u] when I invariably bought one (especially as it would appear I have a compatible phone), but as I do have it now... Well, I can get the original Miraitchi! Very exciting indeed.
I have played the Miracrise game to completion three times, no more, no less, which is, I believe, the requirements for Miraitchi. Now to wait. I swear she's been a teen for days now. Sigh.
