I have to admit I have been on a M2 buying spree lately. I would not mind experiencing a ride in a Mercury with a Breezeway rear window.

 Nice one. Knew a gent in my college days who owned the big Mercury with the Breezeway rear window. I worked at an all night gas station and he would stop in for gas/service and a visit - he liked to part his next to my '59 Edsel just to see the conversation that would occur. Got to ride in it once -

Another sharp looking car! I've seen a few of these in person, but never had the opportunity to ride in one either.

Nice color that I was lucky to find in the "wild".

An opening rear window makes for an amazing "open air simulation" experience. As many of you know, I own a Mustang Convertible, as well as a Toyota 4Runner. With the four side windows, moonroof, and rear tailgate window all opened, the 4Runner has as much wind and air running through my hair as the Mustang with the top down. Both create that great open air great feeling....you know, when it isn't 118 degrees out.

M2 can't get the headlight pods right on these. That said, I bought one any way.

Yeah, every one I've seen has the pods pointing down.

At 5.48 it shows the window going down. I never saw a window do this and that's pretty cool.

Two questions:

1) What is that thing on the trunklid at the base of the rear window?

2) Where did you find that Continental Mark II model? I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

The object on the panel behind the rear window is a "hood" ornament. I guess you might call it a "truck" ornament.

That MkII is a Yatming. It was somewhat of a new discovery a couple of years back. A seller from China was offering them up on eBay. I only bought 1but others might have an extra.

I've cut out most of the 50's cars from my diecast purchases, but may have to make an exception for this one. This is a beauty, great color combo.
