This past Saturday I took a short trip to LA with a friend to check out a couple of exhibits at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The main reason I wanted to go was to see "THE ROOTS OF MONOZUKURI: CREATIVE SPIRIT IN JAPANESE AUTOMAKING," but Ben (250TR) also encouraged me to go, in order to see "THE PORSCHE EFFECT." My friend and I also took this opportunity to take a tour of the VAULT, the museum's basement where even more cars are stored.
I took a whole bunch of pictures, and I think I managed to take at least one photo of almost just about every car on exhibit, although I know I missed a few cars (and all the motorcycles) since my phone battery was drained by the end of our day. I'll be uploading photos throughout the week rather than all at once, since there are so many of them. I hope you'll all enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed the cars. Feel free to comment, especially if you know something about any of the cars exhibited.
So let's begin with a brief look at the cars spread throughout the lobby area...

Fun little bit of trivia for me is the fact that both the Honda and the Toyota are on loan from the Lane Motor Museum where my friend Chris Nicholson works.

Entrance to the VAULT
Unfortunately there is no photography allowed in the VAULT, so what we saw shall forever reamin a mystery to outsiders... unless you visit and take the tour.
