After about 17-18 years of service, the Mustang Connection has closed the doors. I built the scale dealership back late 2000, early 2001 and it held up just fine all those years. A show room, two service bays, waiting room, and a cashiers office. I took many, many pics of some fine and fabulous Stangs in that little dio... Pretty sad to see the empty, abandon building now...

So sad. What happened, did the owner retire or something? Or was money involved, like property taxes going up, or an offer by a developer for the land? Trouble keeping good help? Whatever the cause, it's a sad thing when a once thriving business goes under.

I once worked for a Chevy/Olds agency that, a few years after I left there, lost Oldsmobile due to the division going under, then having their Chevrolet franchise pulled due to GM downsizing the number of dealerships they carried. The dealer was in competition with another one less than 5 miles away that outsold them about 3 to 1, and one of them had to go. It was the oldest Oldsmobile dealer in Pennsylvania (1905) and the first Chevrolet dealer in PA as well (1912). I guess GM had no sense of history when they put about 30 people out of work.

that's a shame- many fond memories of the mustang connection. i just hope it doesn't become one of those pay day loan places, or even worse- a startbucks!

That was a very cool diorama- held up well over the years with a lot of awesome details. Hopefully there's something even cooler coming to take its place.
