Hi everyone! Who missed me? I’ve been traveling the US and Europe since the middle of February and only just finished the season. What was everyone’s overall thoughts? Top 10 season? Bottom 10? Middle tear? And what about the reactions to the tied vote? I for one did not see that coming at all!! Coz that was filmed after Probst used the Troyzan coming 3rd and voting example at the S34 reunion. Remember how everyone thought S35 was gonna have the tie?? Then boom it came the very next season instead. I thought it was amazing! Wendell is also a top tier winner. I was happy for either him or Dom to win so same either way for me. Yes Dom was extremely unlucky however. In my opinion the season almost cracks the top 10 but no quite. Just one more question. Why was there so much pre season speculation that Brenden made the endgame or possibly won!? I was so shocked when he was booted 4th!!

I think this season was garbage. But, I can see casuals like the season. jeff loves RI, but RI was loved by the decent amount of casuals as well. Aso I think Jeff's taste is really similar to casuals actually. Or Jeff loves seasons would be loved by casuals since he needs to sell the show for casuals.

By the way GI and HHH are exactly opposite to me.
GI was horrible except for the very final. HHH was super amazing until F4 stupid twist and the very final.

Easily bottom tier. Few likable characters. No strategy being shown... we only saw The Dom/Wendell/Laurel/Donna alliance and Kellyn and her ragtag band of misfits... that's it... everyone else had zero strategy besides Michael incorrectly playing some idols. I would even put this below Thailand.

Slightly better than one world. But worse than any S25-S35 seasons.

I thought it was great. Then again I love seasons where players dominate.

^ Contradicts your BRob RI thread post.

The good nice thing about a forum is that you can see what people thought realtime by looking at the older threads.

Allow me to rephrase I like seasons where the players I don't absolutely loathe dominate.

RI was boring since it was someone dominating a bunch of dummies who put up no resistance.  To dominate a bunch of relatively smart players like Dom and Wendell both did is quite impressive and totally different.

This season started out promising. A better and stronger cast of people better than last season. The problem was most of them went out pre-merge. The pre-merge was entertaining and started strong, but after the Chris vs Dom merge episode it went downhill. Brendan, Stephanie, and James going out so early put a huge damper on the rest of the season and we paid for it. Gonzalez, Jacob, and Morgan would of been great too. The season became so predictable and it was so obvious it was between Dom and Wendell. The editing was almost as bad as caramoan. Chelsea, Jenna, Libby, Angela, and Sebastian were all duds. The four girls didn't even talk during the jury deliberation besides Kellyn and Dez. The tie breaker was a good ending but it just finished as a dull and average season. GI was an interesting concept but didn't really work. I will take this season anyway over RI, Sopa, Thailand, Fiji, WA, or HvHvH but that's not saying a lot.

A shitty worthless season, glad it is over.  Still not as awful as either Heroes vs Healers vs Hustlers or Game Changers though, so as sad as it is to say, it was progress.  That is the one good news.

Oh yeah and all the best and most interesting players in people besides Wendell and Dom and maybe Michael were the pre jury 7.  How sad is that.

I'll go along with "shitty, worthless season."  The worst since Season 30, the Mike Show.

I only just now got around to watching the final episode, it was really really boring until the FTC.

Donathon and (usually) Laurel sucked the energy out of every episode for me; and there was barely ANY energy from the cast anyway, everyone was meek. There was no real struggle for the finalists thanks to the rule changes and a goddamn cake walk to F3 (Angela was no challenge whatsoever in that fire-making challenge) but we sure got to hear about how clearly these guys were working together and nothing could break it up! Malolo's struggle being the closest thing to interesting and it was a squashed uprising.

Nothing really happened at all, the elimination march just carried on even if it wasn't always obvious -  I never cared for anyone because nobody seemed to struggle with their decisions/place in the game, aside from Stephanie, James and Michael. Kellyn was always wrong and arrogant, her arc was obvious and ended with her getting discarded and not growing much. I didn't think Wendell would win until FTC so that was a pleasant surprise I suppose, but I had long stopped expecting a satisfying end after the dreadful Kellyn, and Sebastian-Donathon-Angela clear as day boots.

Its a season that is better on a rewatch, that is the greatest praise I can give it because the first watch was just a snoozer.

It was a lot better on H vs H vs H which I'd rank above on RI.  Chris, Bradly and Kellyn were awesome casting.

It was a lot better on H vs H vs H which I'd rank above only RI.  Chris, Bradly and Kellyn were awesome casting.

Just finished it. Not memorable at all. I can't even tell you the names of the pre-jurors. Michael was good casting. The whole Ghost Island thing was lame and obviously intended to benefit the Survivors production liked, which is why they couldn't break just any container and had to go in order. James saying he stopped watching Survivor was funny and a giant "oops." Does viewers really need reminded of Erik and James?? How many times has that been pointed out? Reunion show was utter shit. I agree with the idea of just having a full episode of it online. You know people would watch it.
