Hi I'm new here and I apologize for being a little negative in my first post, but Entertainment Weekly had fans rank Survivor seasons from worst to first and some these results are a joke!

http://ew.com/tv/survivor-seasons-ranke ... t-to-worst

In what world was Panama: Exile Island a better season than Cook Islands?! That season was exactly like Nicaragua because it was also a popularity contest and splitting the tribes up by age was an enormous blunder there as well. None of my friends or teachers liked anything about it except for Cirie. Aras was a forgettable and unlikable winner. He also treated Melinda Hyder like dirt in the second episode. When Harry Smith, a former CBS correspondent, interviewed Hyder on The Early Show after the episode aired he told her that he thought Aras was being a bully to her. Aras also holds the record for being the winner with the most votes cast against him in one season. That doesn't come across as someone deserving. One of the key reasons why he won was because Terry Deitz virtually had no shot of winning the final immunity challenge. Just like Aras returning for Blood vs. Water, Danielle had no reason to come back for Heroes vs. Villains. Not only was she unmemorable she was also annoying. I also don't get the love for Shane Powers. His insanity was on the same level as Phillip Shephard's. I would gladly watch a marathon of the Transformers film series than re-watch Panama: Exile IslandCook Islands had a very deserving winner and many more entertaining and likable players. Plus, it had an underdog story as well.

China was predictable from the very first episode . Jean-Robert said in the premiere that Todd would be the master mind of the season. No one did anything at all to overthrow him. It also also obvious in a preview for the episode that Jamie went home that she and Eric did not find the right idol. I will never understand these results at all.

Really? Other than Cirie, what good things were there?

You seem to have terrible opinions as well. Do not come for China. That season's castaways were golden.

If they were, then how come no one did anything to overthrow the player who was foreshadowed to be the mastermind from the first episode?

They are golden in terms of entertainment and diversity. Each and every one of them brought something special to the table. there were no duds that season.

I still don't understand how people could think that Panama: Exile Island is a better season than Cook Islands. After Shane Powers was not voted to return on Cambodia, he was interviewed by Rob Cesternino, who told him that his season had many likable male players including Aras. I never liked Cesternino to begin with and that just proves how my initial thoughts about him were right. Aras was a deceitful, selfish and extremely shallow bully. Probst said the he and many people find Aras to be disingenuous. Also shortly before Blood vs. Water aired, he even went on to say that Aras was probably the most boring winner the show ever had. The majority of players in Panama: Exile Island fell for his fake personality and were not very bright.

I could list so many better players who should've returned for Blood vs. Water instead of him. I barely watched that series because I just couldn't possibly stomach through an entire episode of him, Colton and Tyson. I would gladly spend 39 days on an island with Benjamin "Coach" Wade before I'd ever sit through 45-60 minutes of those three guys together. I will give Tyson credit though because he did what every player on Panama: Exile Island should've done and that was overthrow "King Aras" and his creepy bother. He also did redeem himself after the huge mistake he made in Heroes vs. Villains. The players in Cambodia were also not sheep and saw through the deceptive vibe that Vytas was giving.

- Balanced editing.
- No blatant rigging to try to make an underdog story happen (such as the bottle twist and the late merge).
- A pre-merge tribe that was the perfect combination of adept in challenges and highly dysfunctional, meaning that the big characters would make it deep and the entertaining dysfunction would continue into the late game.

How are Danielle and Aras big characters when they were unlikable and forgettable? Panama: Exile Island was also the first season to not place in the top 10 most watched shows of a yearly television season. Speaking of rigging, Terry Deitz had no chance whatsoever to win that final immunity challenge. It should've been more fair.

I agree with some, but I definitely agree with Redemption Island... As a survivor fan, watching that season felt like a chore and it was the first season that I couldn't wait for it to be over!

I didn't think it was a very good season, but Rob absolutely deserved to win. I met him and Amber back in 2005 and they were both very nice. CBS and the pilot of that plane from the final episode of The Amazing Race 7 did not play fair by letting Uchenna and Joyce got on the plane while it was pulling away.

That's actually a really good list. Of course everyone has personal opinions but overall it's a fair list. The only significant one would be Tocantins at #10 which should be about 10 spots down.

It was a surprise to see that one in the top 10.

There is a strong negative correlation between both Dalton and fan season rankings and the % of the cast from SoCal. Just saying.
