A disciple of Christ is a Christian: one that is NOT a disciple (only) of Christ (only) cannot be a Christian.

Anyone with a minimal grasp that a disciple is a student could under no circumstances think that they had the right to blow on and beat on things during BIBLE class. If they do they have NO interest in the Word they claim to teach and they INTEND that you not be able to be a student of Christ.

Anyone who grasps that God is God and they are not could never question His right to command, example and infer: they give THEMSELVES that right and say YOU should sit down and shut up.

One item that is probably lacking on Concerned Members is the discussion of the Crossroads, International Churches of Christ, "discipling," "partners," and hierarchical leadership gimmicks that were tried all under the name of "growth."

Growth was the ultimate goal for these pernicious deviations, while all the time priceless liberty was eroded and ultimately lost, with charges of "cultism" used against the group.

They did grow of course, and sometimes phenomenally, but at a huge price. At the price of freedom. It took the rebellion of the daughter of the supreme leader to bring down the entire house.

Beware, you churches who historically were the nation's largest, to being deceived that you can regain your former status by growth gimmicks! Value instead your liberty, your distinctiveness, your counter-culture.

"He that gains the whole world shall lose his own life."

Paul, Peter and John in Revelation show that the PROPHETS were inspired by the Spirit OF Christ: in the prophets Christ defined the future REST (tabernacle, Umbrella) as the Church was defined in the wilderness and practiced by the godly Jews. Christ also defines the EMEMIES of the of God as those who practiced sorcery or witchcraft in order to fleece the widows and steal all of the best animals saying that God COMMANDED them to fuel the blood and flesh lust of the civil- Military - Clergy complex Christ called robbers and parasites. The synagogue was to QUARANTINE the godly Jews so that they could not attend the assemblies of the Levites who had been abandoned to worship the starry host on their way to 'Beyond Babylon' which is interpreted "without redemption." I believe that the 120 were a gift to God out of all of the nations into which the Jews had been scattered: Christ in Isaiah speaks of them as a tiny remnant.

For those lusting to build mega churches patterned after the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned system, Christ in Isaiah 57 prophesies of COLLECTING the godly to prevent them from being attacked by the LOCUSTS which in Revelation are the MUSES--dirty musical performers unleashed by Abaddon or Apollyon.

I noted that the Church of Christ (the Rock) or Qahal, synagogue or Ekklesia existed in the wilderness: that rest day assembly silence all instrumental noise and commanded the Reading and Rehearsing the Word as it was delivered to small groups from Moses.

That pattern never changed so that both Jew and Gentile were "wise unto salvation."

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that PREACH him, being READING in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Paul affirms that the pattern was still to READ the Word of God for Comfort and Doctrine. The LOGOS speaking words outlaw rhetoric, personal tales, poetry, music or any of the hypocritic arts and crafts: these rituals had the only purpose of preventing people from thinking (that worship concept) about either Christ or His Words.

The future church is defined inclusively in the prophets so that those who say that God is SILENT can be marked for avoidance.

Note that the ACTS is the fruit of the lips and the FRUIT is supplied by Christ in the prophets and apostles. None of the rest of Scripture defines the REST day which PROTECTS the godly form the worship rituals which are almost always defined as MAKING MUSIC (to their ears):

Psalm 100 King James Version (KJV)

100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Hop to it: If you do that some clergy will pick your pocket: if you go into the holy place (carnal type of church) they are commanded by God to run you through with a rusty sword!

Down here at church they pronounce that Schoword!

Augustine defines:Let us therefore run unto this blessing, let us understand jubilance, let us not pour it forth without understanding. Of what use is it to be jubilant and obey this Psalm, when it saith, "Jubilate unto the Lord, all ye lands," and not to understand what jubilance is, so that our voice only may be jubilant, our heart not so? For the understanding is the utterance of the heart.

4. I am about to say what ye know. One who jubilates, uttereth not words, but it is a certain sound of joy without words: for it is the expression of a mind poured forth in joy, expressing, as far as it is able, the affection, but not compassing the feeling. A man rejoicing in his own exultation, after certain words which cannot be uttered or understood, bursteth forth into sounds of exultation without words, so that it seemeth that he indeed doth rejoice with his voice itself, but as if filled with excessive joy cannot express in words the subject of that joy. ...Those who are engaged at work in the fields are most given to jubilate; reapers, or vintagers, or those who gather any of the fruits of the earth, delighted with the abundant produce, and rejoicing in the very richness and exuberance of the soil, sing in exultation; and among the songs which they utter in words, they put in certain cries without words in the exultation of a rejoicing mind; and this is what is meant by jubilating. ...

Perhaps, your beef is with the inspired Psalm itself. I only quoted the Psalm.

However, here's some good reading material for you.
