By the way, the mass of immigration threatening Europe and the Americas is to a large extent those in Middle East countries fleeing persecution after their governments were overthrown.

Many believe that poor, "fascists", governments are better than anarchy.

Christians are almost nonexistent today in Iraq, while under Saddam they were protected.
I would say that good intentions got us BUSH whacked.
Obama and Hillary made it worse. Maybe it is time to pull in the drawbridges instead of building more over the border fences.

Robert Frost, 1874 - 1963 Mending Wall

Something there is that doesn’t love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun;
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
‘Stay where you are until our backs are turned!'
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of outdoor game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.'
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
'Why do they make good neighbors? Isn’t it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I’d ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offense.
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall,
That wants it down.' I could say ‘Elves’ to him,
But it’s not elves exactly, and I’d rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me,
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father’s saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.'

Reaction against The Dixie Chicks was so great that they fell out of favor with the country music fans. It almost ended their popularity, but since they have regained some favor.

Today, they are admired in many circles for their courage.

I would say that they were "prescient."

Yes, I think they were correct at the time.
Scripture, you have got to be kidding me. Anyone that puts FYTK (TK standing for Toby Keith, and you can figure out the rest) is not LOW class, but NO class. They are not redeemable.....ever!

Ken, like I said....you were either speaking to Scripure or giving a personal confession...it certainly wasn't Dave. Bad mind. Memory is ONE of the first things that goes....not always the first.

I didn't know about FYTK.

I was just talking about their views on the Middle East.

Plus, what did Toby Keith say that preceded their FYTK?

Ken said "I usually approve your post as the PATTERN of those unable to meet the Biblical Text Man-to-Man."

What did Scripture say to deserve that?
Dave,

(FYI) I was the one who approved Scripture's post.

Let me clarify the confusion:

Your question should have been: "What did I [Dave] say to deserve that?"

You see, Dave, your topic was "Need Clarification."

Ken approved it and responded to you in: "Re: Need Clarification."

I usually approve your [Dave's] post as the PATTERN of those unable to meet the Biblical Text Man-to-Man.

I was addressing Dave, Rocnar or whomever. I would never say that to a gentleman like Scripture.

Bad eyes.
Ken,

Your eyes were just fine. You responded to the correct post (by Dave): "Need Clarification" in your "Re: Need Clarification."

I meant to say that anyone who puts FYTK on their tshirts. Scripture, they did this because Toby Keith publicly called down the Dixie Chicks when they were touring overseas and slandered the president, George Bush. It is like family can argue amongst themselves but you will not let someone else put the family down. The Dixie Chicks are NOT redeemable.

E-Mail:

Ken, I wanted to let you know that the transformation of Oak Hills is almost complete. One thing the Elders promised back when instruments were added was that there would always be a non-instrumental service available for those that preferred this to attend.

In December, a new 3,000 auditorium will be opened. It will have 2 Sunday services. The Elders have now decided to eliminate the non-instrumental service (which had been pushed to 8:15 am - a very inconvenient time) and the two later services had instruments.

So, now there will be no non-instrument service. The Elders have said that the new service will have "light instruments," of course, this is exactly what was said when the instruments were introduced, soon replaced by a full rock band.

I remember the "light strings" in another room. This is the Purpose Driven Pattern. You just turn up the heat in the water a bit so that people will feel comfortable. But the plan is to spend a decade if necessary to as they said "upset your comfort zones". This will begin to drive out the more faithful and up the ante until a NEW AUDIENCE has replaced YOUR pews. Their effort did as I remember slow down the "expansion". When Rick Atchley was reminded about his promise that there would be no instruments in the Sunday assembly "until Jesus returns." Like any politician he got his ok from A spirit by saying, "That was THEN but this is NOW."

They are forced to lie like dogs to find any rationale for instruments which are outlawed so there is nothing they would not do--as some boast--to "save more souls."

Randy Frazee is the ex Willow Creek and really Baptist RICH AND FAMOUS sellers of learning at retail. Paul called it "corrupting the Word' which has the same meaning and lots of historical documents to identify it as PROSTITUTION. Selling Jesus to "know Him personally" should remove any doubts about the justice of being cast alive into the lake of fire.

And his breath [SPIRIT], as rushing water in a valley, reach reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for their vain error; error also shall pursue them and overtake them. Isaiah 30:28 LXX

Must ye always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must ye go with a pipe, as those that rejoice into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel Isaiah 30:29 LXX

and the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and his wrath shall be as water and violent hail. Isaiah 30:30 LXX

For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, even by the stroke where with he shall smite them. Isaiah 30:31 LXX

ALL musical instruments are derived from instruments of war or tortue.

Percutio: transfix. thrust through, open a vein, Viper: stung, bitten b.To strike, play a musical instrument (poet.): “lyram,” To cheat, deceive, impose upon one , astound with oration, anathemate

The God-abandoned Jews transfigured Jesus as well as musically mocked him.

And it shall happen to him from every side, that they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp. Isaiah 30:32 LXX

For thou shalt be required before thy time: has it been prepared for thee also to reign? nay, God has prepared for thee a deep trench, wood piled fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord shall be as a trench kindled with sulphur. Isaiah 30:33 LXX

Tertullian:

The Worship in Jerusalem was dominated by Assyria at the time.

"We may understand a thing as spoken generally, even when it requires a certain special interpretation to be given to it. For some things spoken with a special reference contain in them general truth.

When God admonishes the Isrealites of their duty, or sharply reproves them,
He has surely a reference to all men;

when He threatens destruction to Egypt and Ethiopia,
He surely pre-condemns every sinning nation, whatever.

If, reasoning from species to genus, every nation that sins against them is an Egypt and Ethiopia; so also, reasoning from genus to species, with reference to the origin of shows, every show is an assembly of the wicked.

Defining the THEATER:

Psa. 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psa. 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Rancor,

Notice in this thread on September 26, Ken refers to Scripture as a "gentleman."

He has intuition that he often fails to get credit for. No problem for him here.

Rancor, do you have to classify below the belt issues before you refer to a person?

Ken is in his own world. However, he did say you wear a belt size $$ and were very mobile. Ken lost all credibility when he reneged on SSSSS (Simple Simon Says Sisters Sit). He is a shadow of himself now.
