Rocky,

You may be aware of it already -- that you're quickly becoming famous for your one-liner "funny" remarks. Perhaps, we'll be able to "detect" it later on when you "make" it an effort to be really interested in participating. FYI, so far there is no position available for a resident comedian.

Also, just wondering if you meant "28 years [at Winterfest yourself] and going strong"?

Searched and Found Some:

"321 Improv" will be at Yorktown Baptist Church for "Comedy & Costumes" on October 26, 2011.

Bio "321 Improv" Comedy will bring tears to your eyes, a pain to your side and theyll make your face ache with laughter! An evening with 321 Improv is unlike any youve been a part of before. It is a unique interactive comedy experience. Each show, the three guys in 321 Improv instantly turn audience suggestions into hilarious scenes. No two shows are the same!

So, since we already know how distracted and uninterested in serious Bible study young people are, the comedians must have a better way of resolving the issue of "keeping the youth."

Anybody know how much money Jeff Walling is wasting for the interactive entertainment SESSIONS?

So what kind of shtick did Jesus use to get laughs from His audiences when He preached the Gospel? Did He use a comedy routine with clowns and puppets? Did His Gospel come with a laugh track to entice His audiences to snicker along? If not, then WHERE did religious leaders today get the idea to become idiotic comedians and turn preaching the Gospel into the likes of Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central?

The answer to your question can be found in one of the books that hasn't been added to the cannon yet. Come on B get a clue.

If the Bible means nothing, joking as a means of communicating about God is a terminal disease and proves that one has no love for the word but must AIDE it to be effective. If you mean MARKETING what they call the gospel then jokes and musicians have always had attracting the butterflies as its goal along with SOFTENING UP the frogs.

Does Jimmy Joe believe that Jesus used comedy and jokes to preach the Gospel? If so, is there any Scriptural evidence for that?

I have the ole feelin' that, since the Scriptures don't mention anything about "66 books," then there won't be anything there even remotely suggesting a first-century comedy routine for preaching the Gospel. But then, the change agents would come back with their mantra of, "God didn't say not to [use comedy]!"
