So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. I'm glad I got to meet him back at the South Bend National meet years back after only talking to him on the phone prior. He was a kick in the pants to talk to, even better in person.

Met Chuck at Reedsville in 1995 when he brought up a cab for my E-40 through arrangements with Denton Wright. Used the picnic shelter's rafters as a lifting point to move the cab from Earl to my brother's Dakota for the journey to Toronto. Saw him again (and Earl) at York the following year and was amazed at the rapid growth of his hair - it was so long he had braided it into a pony-tail hanging down from the back of his cap. I asked him what his secret was and he smiled, lifted his cap and showed me the clipped on braid attached to his cap. I learned later that this was typical of Chuck - always a fun loving fellow. R.I.P Chuck.
