my new Champ truck

Third and last try at posting this- I am buying a stock '64 Champ with the inline six and three speed transmission without over drive. I want to be able to do some interstate (70 mph) driving with it. I know the original rearend is going to be geared too low. Would swapping in a complete rearend out of an 80s Chevrolet truck be a good idea? If I do so I intend to keep the original for possible reinstalling later. Any modifications done by me will be bolt-ins with no welding on the truck and nothing that cannot be easily undone later. I wonder if the width would be close. I know the wheel pattern is the same. If this gets posted I will appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Thanks. I could not see my posts anywhere. I thought they were getting lost in cyberspace.
