6.00x16 tire on 6x16 3/4-ton wheels?

I have some 6.00x16 tires that I used while restoring a '41 Ford PU (before my conversion to Stude PUs -- Yes, guilty as charged, your honor). I would like to put them on my '52 2R11 3/4 ton for moving it around during its restoration. They look too small and are narrower than the OE size. My wheels have full locking rings, not split ones.

Will these fit without creating a safety risk?

I would not recommend any high speed driving. Hardest part would be to get them to seat while airing them up.

Would be true with a conventional tubeless tire and drop center rim. With a two-piece rim, with a tube in there, the tire has no choice but to seat.

Tubes make it easy.
