Steve asked me to post the pictures that I took of my German Fan Club jumpsuit in the ENT thread for future reference. I will eventually post some pictures of my screen used Lt Reed as well. Its a beautiful costume and the best part is that it is complete from boots to underwear (blue and black undershirts) and real rank pips. The photos you see here were taken to show the proportions of the jumpsuit. It was made in 2004 and is listed as a XXL. It is very well done and only needs the square zipper pulls to make it fully accurate.

If anyone has any questions about either of them please let me know.

Thank you, Mike! The one question I have is how close to the real thing was the German Jumper? Very close? Minor differences? It looks to be generally identical.

I would say very close Steve. I've taken a few more photos but side by side this time. The fan club version is a darker blue while my Reed is from season 2 when, if I understand correctly, they lightened up the colour and used the darker first season ones for background characters (I got this from looking around the web today - someone mentioned it was on the DVD set extra features).

The only differences, besides the size of the two outfits (Dominic Keating is only 5'8" and has a slight build while the GFC I have fits a person 6'), are the stars in the patch, the size of the patch, and the number of rows of quilting/stitching in the collar. Perhaps the rank strip is a tad thinner too. For all I know those little details could have been that way in Season 1 as well. They did a very good job and like I said earlier, I would only try to find/make the square zipper pulls (which are on most, but not all, of the zippers).

The German jumper was not bad. Tho not identical to the original, it's mostly close. Would be curious to know who made them.
