You know the cliche diner that everybody avoids because it looks like it's secretly a crack den? That's the Skillet. Run out of an converted doublewide on the side of the road, most of Mariet would pretend to ignore its existence completely, but a select few have taken the plunge and stepped into the seat-up diner. Those people are risk takers, and they're greatly rewarded for said risk. The Skillet has, hands down, some of the best down-home cooking you will ever eat in your entire life, and some of the nicest people you might ever meet. The menu changes at the whims of its married owners, Jim the cook and Babette the manager/head waitress. Locals, however, would lynch the two if they ever touches the breakfast menu, but Jim and Babette know how to keep their costumers pleased.
