It is similiar to Mafia, but different as it has different mechanics and is generally shorter.
Unlike Mafia, ONUM has just 1 Night Phase and 1 Day Phase. The goal of the Town is to lynch one mafioso; then they win. The goals of the Mafia is that all of them stay alive by the end of the day; then they win. There might be a Fool, but I cannot say without knowing the amount of players that will play. The Fool wins when they are lynched.
In the Night Phase everybody gets their roles and they can do their night actions, if they even have one. In the Day Phase the players must decide to lynch someone. But the twist is that not everybody can be sure to have the same role or even alignment by the end of the night, as certain roles have the ability to swap the roles of the players. The unique thing about ONUM is that your primarily goal is to win with the alignment you have at the end of the night phase(/start of the day phase), but to go there you have to deduce what your current role is.
When everybody has signed up, I'll choose a setup we'll play and assign each one of you a role via RNG (I will explain what roles exists later in this post). However, unlike normal mafia there are n+3 roles overall. N means the number of players, so if 7 people sign up, there would be 10 roles. But who has the remaining 3 roles? Nobody. These three unused roles are the Center Roles that are assigned to no one (they are called Center Roles as IRL you'd put the role cards in the center of the table) and nobody (except me) knows what these roles are at the beginning of the game. These three slots are there for certain roles, but I'll explain later.
We have a 3 days Night Phase.
During the night phase nobody talks in the thread. The night actions are handled via PMs to me. It ends when everybody has sent an action or after 3 days.
Then we have a 14 days Day Phase.
Discuss on who is who, as you may or may not have the same role as before. Like you could be maf then be town or vice versa. As I said, the win condition is the current role.
When everybody is ready to vote by writing VOTE: YES or the 14 days are over, there will be a lynchphase.
However, when the lynchphase happens: The votes are anonymously sent to me via PM. No unvoting or selfvoting. Majority wins. If there's a tie between 2, both die.

Village: The Town wins when a mafia member is lynched. They lose if that doesn't happen. Simple, right?
Villager: Does this one need explanation? The vote is the power. But other than that, they're not special.
Hunter: If the Hunter's lynched the person the hunter voted for will also be killed.
Bodyguard: The person the bodyguard votes during the day cannot be lynched, therefore the player with the second-most votes gets lynched instead, when the person the bodyguard chose was intentionally lynched.
Prince: The Prince cannot be lynched, so the player with the second-most votes gets lynched instead, when the prince would've gotten lynched.
Cop: The cop can choose between 2 choices of what they can do the night. They either can either choose another player to get to see their role. Or they can check 2 of the Center Roles.
Mason: There are 2 Masons in the game and during the night they get to know who the other one is by the beginning of the night.
Troublemaker: The Troublemaker can exchange the roles of two players. But they cannot choose to exchange their own role.
Robber: The Robber can exchange their own role with the one of another player. And they will know what their new role is.
Insomniac: At the end of the night the insomniac will check their own role to see if they are still the insomniac.
Drunk: The drunk can choose to change his role with a center role, but they won't know what the new role will be.
Witch: The witch can choose a center role and views it. Then that role must be exchanged with another player's role, which can be the witch themself.
Deputy: The deputy can look at one of the center roles.
Sentinel: The Sentinel can shield anyone but themselves. A shielded player's role cannot be switched nor can it be viewed.
Village Idiot: The Village Idiot may move everybody's role up or down in the player list.
Revealer: The Revealer can choose a player. That player's role will be revealed for everybody, unless they are the fool or mafia.
PI: The PI can choose 2 players to check their roles at night. But if one of the player's a fool, the PI becomes a fool. If the player's mafia, the PI becomes mafia. If the first player is mafia/fool the second player won't be checked, obviously.
Doppelganger: The Doppelganger can choose a player, gets to know their role and then turns into the role. They also will do a night action if the chosen role has one.
Curator: The curator can give another player an artifact during the night, but they don't know what artifact was given. Everybody will know who received an artifact, but only the receiver knows the effect of it.
Gun: The player with the gun turns into a mafioso
Blue Shirt: The player turns into a plain villager
Fool: Player turns into a fool
Rifle: Player turns into hunter
Crown: Player turns into a prince
BG: Player turns into a BG

Box: Nothing's in the box. Nothing happens.
Sheriff: The Sheriff will get a list with names of all players that have switched roles or viewed roles during the time the Sheriff wakes up during night.
Traitor: The traitor is a normal villager. However, if the cursed gets voted by a mafia member, they become a mafia member themselves and wins with the mafia.
Each Town Role can exist once, with the exception of the Mason who can be there up to 2 times and the normal villages, which can be up to 3
The Mafia: The mafia wins if every mafia member is alive at the end of the day and the fool is not lynched
Mafioso: Unlike in normal mafia, the mafia does not communicate during the night nor do they kill. During night they wake up and learn who the other mafia members are. Of course there could also be the case where there's just one mafia member active, in which case they can view one Center Role.
Minion: Not the yellow ones. The Minion will know who the mafia members are, but they won't know that the minion is the minion. The minion wins with the mafia, but if the minion is lynched instead of a regular mafia member, the mafia and the minion both still win. If there's a Minion but no mafia members, the Minion wins as long as they don't die.
Stalker: The stalker can view another player's role. Other than that, they are a normal mafia member and if they are the only active member, they can also view a Center Role.
Godfather: When the godfather's in the the game there will be a fourth Central Role, instead of three. The fourth central role is automatically a mafia role and during the night the godfather can exchange that fourth central role with another player but themselves. The other night roles can also view/swap the fourth role of course. If the Godfather's alone, they may also view a Central Role.
Dreamer: The other mafia members know who the dreamer is, but the dreamer doesn't know who the others are.
There are 2 Mafiosi, 1 minion, 1 stalker, 1 dreamer and 1 godfather possible.
Fool: Wins if killed.
There can only be 1 Fool.
-Activity Rules per day wouldn't make that much sense with just 1 night and 1 day phase, but please be active so the game flows

You people will sign up, we'll talk here about the setup you guys wanna make (the setup will be open and at the start of the game everybody will know what roles exist) and then RNG will do the job. The Center Roles will be named C1, C2 and C3 (Or C4 if you guys want a Godfather), so you can decide between the the three of them.
7 days sign up time seems alright, right? Otherwise, I could extent it, considering that this mafia mode appears to be more complicated (which, it isn't that much...but it's still something new!)
