((Rosa Fiametta continued from One of Three))

Rosa hadn't covered a whole lot of ground, so far as she could tell (and she wasn't the best at reading maps), and it was beginning to gnaw at her. She might've been in shape, but she was hardly an athlete. The soccer team had picked her up for one or two games, wondering if she was as good as her sister, but had soon found the answer to be, well... that she wasn't. So far as that sport went, Frankie was on another level, but then, Rosa hadn't been surprised to find that out, and really, she hadn't really been too concerned. It wasn't about being good for her, it was a matter of fitness, and maybe having a bit of fun. Letting loose, that was for... other times. Anyway, fact was, Rosa wasn't moving fast, and that was setting her on edge.

She didn't have time to waste dawdling. She'd already spent long enough with that nonesense back at the cottage, too busy sitting around feeling sorry for herself to even think about what kinds of trouble Ily and Frankie could be in. Rosa's first thoughts weren't usually for her siblings, but in this situation, it seemed utterly appalling that they hadn't been. They'd been on family, or more accurately, a particular family member. Bitterly, Rosa wondered whether Junior was hoping for some miraculous intervention, or was just rooting for Ilario to win the whole thing. That'd be a badge of honour to brag about for his favourite, huh?

"Fuck Junior," Rosa spat sullenly as she trudged through the undergrowth. She pulled up and looked around her for a few moments. She couldn't see any at that particular moment, but she knew that there had to be cameras around. Rosa smirked. "Yeah, you hear that Junior? I said fuck you."

Oddly, that actually made her feel a little better.

Rosa continued walking, but forced her thoughts from the gnawing knot of anxiety that was eating away at her. What was she going to do if she ran into somebody hostile? It wasn't as if she was holding hidden knockout power in her hands, or could bluff her way through a confrontation by brandishing a weapon around. Rosa's 'weapons' weren't anything you could use in a fight. Handy? She supposed they were, but Rosa had a feeling that she'd be feeling a lot more comfortable had she drawn something a little more substantial. She didn't think she'd have liked carrying a gun around, but it would've made for much better security. Although having said that, a weapon in the Fiametta's hands could have made the standoff with Vera far worse...

Urgh, stop chasing it in circles. What'd better keep us all safe? Walkie talkies, or a gun? Yeah exactly.

So... what was there she could do? Running seemed like the most attractive proposition. Rosa was pretty fleet of foot, and if somebody came upon her for example in these very woods, she didn't expect she'd have much trouble losing them. The trouble with that particular tactic came with situations like had come up in the station. Namely, what if she was cornered? Being quick on your feet didn't help if the only place you had to run into was a corner.

At length, the Fiametta stopped and heaved a long sigh. There was always... one thing that she could try. One resource that she had at her disposal. One that Rosa had exploited many times in the past before shying away from the distress it had inevitably caused. An advantage she had that, well, she plainly didn't want to consider using. ...Except it didn't seem as if she had much of a choice but to make it an option. If it meant it could bring her closer to finding Ily and Frankie, or hell save her own hide, then... the sacrifice would have to be made.

Goddammit. ...Right, let's make this quick.

Rosa dumped both of her bags on the ground at the base of a tree trunk and began rooting through the duffle, searching through the possessions they'd allowed her to keep to get what she was after. Namely, her clothes. Sifting through the disorganised pile of tops, jeans, skirts and occasional item of underwear, the Fiametta began to pick out individual articles of clothing, attempting to pick out an outfit for herself. This took a couple of minutes, although Rosa picked out just two pieces (after deciding against a few choices). Laid out before Rosa on the forest floor was a white tank top (with a bright pink, stylised broken heart design across the front) and a faded grey denim mini skirt.

She smiled, a little wistfully.

"Welcome back, Rosa," she murmured to herself.

(Madeleine Smith continued from Wants and Needs)

As she walked further into the woods, Madeleine replayed the confrontation with Jonathan Jarocki in her mind over and over. She could have avoided killing him, that was certain, but what would have happened then? He was running towards them, and once he had cleared the truck, the whole group would have been exposed and vulnerable. And yet, there was that nagging feeling that if she had got him in his leg or arm instead, then he would have been stopped regardless without any loss of life. But then again, would he have lasted long with a bullet in any part of his body? This island didn't appear to have anything resembling a hospital.

Ultimately, Madeleine decided that there was never any right answer to the situation, and she was lucky that the only person to be hurt was the man himself. That wouldn't allow her to sleep any better, but at least she could lay the topic to rest for now. Even if everyone in her group had left her, at least they were all alive and well. That she could feel good about.

Frankly, if that's all I'm depending on for good feelings, I'm glad that Danya didn't give me a razor.

So wrapped up was she in her guilt and cynical thoughts that Madeleine didn't see Rosa laying out a change of clothes until she was nearly upon her, at which point she had already stirred up some leaves sitting on the forest floor. With a yelp of surprise, Madeleine darted behind the nearest tree, in a motion practiced through semesters of attempting to avoid people. She had grown to be quite proficient at this sort of thing. Not that it would help much, given that her bags were still poking out from beside the tree she had chosen, as it wasn't exactly that wide. Still, it was the thought that counted.

"So-sorry if I b-bothered you..." she said, peeking out from the side of the tree. "L-Listen, I'll just be over here, okay? I just...just need to sit down for a sec." She couldn't quite place who the girl was, but she recognized her as one of the Fiametta siblings. As usual, Maddy's mind was giving her a huge prodding to leave right then and there, but she was getting used to ignoring those. If she wanted to get anywhere on this island, she would have to assert herself, along with also keeping herself in the shade, and not next to that tree trunk where there wasn't any shade and she'd burn to a crisp. That was another thing on her mind.

I hope she isn't laying out those clothes to change into them. Fiametta's going to get sunburned worse than me in that little amount of clothing.

Rosa was just about to start changing when there was a commotion nearby, causing her to jump about a foot in the air (and rapidly pull her shirt back down from her midriff). Rosa got a brief glimpse of somebody darting behind a tree, following a dismayed squeak, her eyes following the flash of motion to a set of bags that were very conspicious alongside the individual's hiding place. Were it not for the little yelp, then Rosa would have booked it immediately. As it was, the sound gave her pause.

A little scream like that wasn't the type of sound somebody made when they were trying to sneak up on you, or were trying to take you out. Not unless they had some kind of mastermind, but it wasn't as if Rosa was the type of target somebody would need much guille to take on. Whoever the other person was (and it had to be a girl), they had sounded genuinely scared. Not surprising, really, there were still thrills running down Rosa's spine from her initial shock. Even the thought of encountering another person - well, that wasn't either of the people she was looking for, was enough to set her pulse raising.

Either? You forget real quickly, Rosa.

Felicia... her... girlfriend? One night stand partner? Fuckbuddy? It'd been too soon since prom night, not long enough to really get her bearings about where all of that was going. Still, Rosa reflected, it didn't bode well for the relationship that it had taken her so long to even think about the other girl. All apologies to Felicia, but Ilario and Frankie were the first priorities.

But now wasn't the time to be thinking about that.

Rosa raised an eyebrow as the girl spoke up in a tremulous voice. Annoyingly, in spite of her poking her head around the side of the tree, the Fiametta couldn't recognise her. Short, brown haired, but... Rosa couldn't place her. There was something of a familiarity, but no name was forthcoming. She didn't suppose it mattered too much, this hell hole wasn't the type of place to be getting offended about someone not knowing your name. Although Rosa probably wouldn't have given a damn about it anywhere else either, at that...

"...Alright then," said Rosa in reply to the other. "I don't own the woods or anything, I'm not about to tell you to fuck off," the Fiametta looked back to her clothes, bit her lip, thinking. The girl seemed safe enough, with that tremor in her voice, and really, since when had Rosa been bothered about how other people had seen her?

Since... a little while back. I guess...

"Hey, uh... I'm going to be changing in a second. So if you find it embarrassing, don't look."

Thus satisfied, Rosa stripped off her jeans quickly, leaving them in a heap on the ground. Her soccer jersey followed onto the pile and for a few seconds, Rosa was standing in her underwear before she donned the skirt. The Fiametta reached for the tank top, then paused for a few moments, an idea occurring to her. If she was going to... well... take advantage of what she had, maybe it would be best to go all the way.

Not like I haven't done it in the past... Course, then I wasn't on TV...

"Might as well just do it quick then..." Rosa muttered to herself, reaching around her back awkwardly to unclasp her bra. As she was doing that she crouched and grabbed the tanktop, such that she could avoid being exposed for long. The undergarment falling free, Rosa pulled the top on, then looked back to where the other girl had been.

"Done," she said matter-of-factly.

((Harun Kemal continued from Don't go breaking my heart...))

Harun Kemal stifled a yawn as he slowly walked forward through the forest, his awkward sword-gun thing scraping along the ground, leaving a small trail in the dirt. He had bags under his eyes and a big hole in his stomach. He'd tried sleeping last night in a small secluded clearing he'd found in the forest, but between the general discomfort of the dirty ground he was resting on and the anxiety, paranoia and depression plaguing his mind, he'd only managed a couple of hours at the most, and spent most of the night fidgeting or sobbing quietly to himself. When he did finally fall asleep, his much-needed rest was brutally cut short by the first of Danya's daily announcements. While he wasn't particularly close to any of the names he'd heard mentioned by the sadistic terrorist behind all this, the fact people he'd seen in the corridors or had classes with for the last few years were already either dead or murderers didn't exactly help his current mental situation, and despite trying in vain to carry on his sleep from where he left off, he couldn't.

He'd also tried eating as well. The soups that Hermione had given him were, to put it bluntly, crap. Harun appreciated the gesture, but they had the taste and texture of soggy, mouldy cardboard, like most of the gluten-free food he'd had over the years. It was probably just the flavour of the soup he'd tried or the fact they were uncooked and had been tumbling about in his bag for several hours, but even in his state of hunger, Harun struggled to get the soup down. And he was eating it without any cutlery, having to pour it straight from the packet into his mouth or scoop it up with his dirty hands, which wasn't making things any easier.

After gulping down half of the packet's contents, Harun had had enough, and, seeing as he couldn't exactly put a bag of soup that had been ungracefully torn open back in his bag without coating all his other supplies in a thick layer of icky soup, he'd just left the packet behind, propped up unceremoniously against a tree. If those anti-littering campaigns had taught Harun one thing, it was that leaving litter behind willy-nilly would probably end up hurting or killing some poor critter, and normally he would have made sure to finish up the food and then chuck it in an appropriate bin, but right now Harun honestly didn't give a damn. He still had a couple of the packets, some snacks and a few bottles of water, so Harun thought he had nothing to worry about in terms of food.

However, his attempts to sleep and eat the soup were both several hours ago, and since then Harun had just been walking around the forest aimlessly, growing increasingly exhausted and hungry as he did so. Aside from Rashid, he hadn't actually talked to or encountered anyone (he had seen or heard a few people in the distance, but no-one he was particularly close to), which suited Harun just fine.

However, as he carried on walking, he suddenly heard talking. Definitely a girl's voice. Or a prepubescent male, but he didn't think many of those were in Bayview's senior class. So, yeah, probably a girl. Despite the fact that he had been avoiding everything else, he was kinda curious to see who it was. Motioning to Rashid to be silent, he whispered "I'm gonna see who's over there. Come with me if you want, but we gotta be quiet." Holding his sword revolver at the ready, he began to creep over to where the voice was coming from. He was now able to tell that they were two voices there, both girls. Crawling carefully through a bush, his ears focused on their conversation, he peeked through the leaves to get an idea of the scene in front of him.

Next to a tree, was a girl he recognised as Madeleine something or other. The other girl, one closer to him, was Rosa Fiametta, who he didn't really know that well but had quite a reputation around Bayview as being both attractive and, in a more negative light, a bit of a slut. She was also topless, and, Harun being a heterosexual teenage male, he couldn't help but stare at her...assets...for a bit. Harun didn't get much of a glimpse before she put on her tanktop (which in itself wasn't exactly a conservative piece of clothing), but still. Damn.

Considering he'd heard Rosa say she was changing quite clearly, he really only had himself to blame for his act of accidental perversion. Not knowing whether he should be ashamed or happy about the little peek he got, he withdrew from the bush, hoping not to make too much noise.

Scrambling to his feet, he turned to Rashid, unsure of whether he had also got a quick peek at Rosa topless, and quietly said "Right...erm...it's Madeleine something and Rosa Fiametta....think we should go say hello to them?"

So this Fiametta girl wasn't hostile. So far so good. But all that meant is that she probably didn't have anything good. Maddy wasn't putting much stock in the idea that somebody would be not trying to kill people, especially now that a good deal of time had gone by. Still, if she wasn't going to be trying to kill her, that was just fine, because she really needed to rest. Putting her bags down and sliding down to a seated position with her back to the tree, Maddy took out her sketchpad and a spare pencil and began drawing a weirdly-shaped tree.

Rosa shouted something about changing, and requested that Maddy not turn around, and the artist was fine with that. However, as she began drawing the tree's outline, something occurred to her: what if she wasn't changing at all, and was just tricking Madeleine into putting her back to her? She could be sneaking up with a knife or something or running off into the bushes, and the artist wouldn't know until it was too late to do something about it. Madeleine listened closer, and while there appeared to be a rustling sound of some sort, she was certain that it could mean anything. She shrugged, and continued drawing.

Time passed, not a whole lot of time, but it seemed a whole lot longer. Madeleine had barely drawn anything before setting her pad down. The rustling continued...

Maybe a quick peek. Just a peek won't hurt.

How wrong she was. It was fortunate that Maddy only saw Rosa from the side, because if Rosa had been looking over at Maddy's tree when her face had slowly slid out from behind, she probably would have been utterly offended. As it was, Maddy drew her head back and held back another yelp. She could feel her face flushing red, and she buried it in her hands to hide it, despite the apparent lack of anybody watching.

"Done!" Rosa shouted, and Maddy stood up and walked out from behind the tree, breathing slowly to calm herself down. Now that the outfit was on the girl, the artist could see precisely what she was going for, and she had to admit that it wasn't a bad tactic. Distracting the male opposition with scanty attire and good looks seemed like it had potential to work, but she'd reserve judgment on it until she actually saw it in action. After all, Maddy was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and slacks, and she still had succeeded in killing somebody, though it was best, she figured, to not mention that unless Rosa asked.

"So, uh...I'm Madeleine," she said. "I-I'm not playing at all. W-what about you?" She wasn't quite sure what to say to the girl, and she had been somewhat flustered by what she had seen, so she didn't even have her standard social tact. She prayed that Rosa didn't think that she was weird.

((Rashid continued from Don't Go Breaking My Heart))

He was weary, ragged, paranoid and on the brink of insanity, and had a useless weapon. He couldn't escape those facts either physically or mentally.

And yet the possibility did somehow cross Rashid Hassan's mind that he was one of the luckier ones.

Compared to Harun, Rashid had fared better not having encountered anyone directly. Not being gluten-intolerant he was able to nourish himself and actually put his iodine pills to good use when he found that his water had run out. He had even found time to pray, using the rough estimation of shadows (and a random guess as to where Mecca was from wherever the hell he was) to improvise something somewhat resembling the proper routine.

This didn't mean that he had fully recovered from his depression though. He knew damn well that he was very lucky not to have been murdered by his only companion in his sleep. And he still felt that nagging, overbearing feeling of uselessness as he took out those iodine pills and continued to look at it longingly for what seemed like several minutes at one point. Finding the undisturbed space to pray only meant he could cope with it better. And the only thing that he'd found that helped him cope better than that was a shoulder to cry on, but unlike prayer he didn't want to think about that.

Fortunately (and ironically) for him, he'd found something disturbingly apt to prevent him from doing so. After a day or so of wandering and either deliberately or luckily avoiding people, Rashid and his traveling buddy had happened upon a conversation happening nearby. Both of those participants seemed to be female.

"I'm gonna see who's over there. Come with me if you want, but we gotta be quiet." Harun advised softly. Rashid nodded in consent and slowly snuck over to some nearby foliage to see who was talking.

As Luck would have it (or rather, luck seemed to have enjoyed fucking with him over the last 48 hours), the girl closest to them was other than Rosa Fiametta, the one person in the school that Rashid once came close to seriously considering having stoned to death for being too much of a whore. But rather than go into a possibly insanity-induced fundamentalist rage, Rashid found himself...staring. At least for the brief moment where she was totally exposed. And that was long enough for him to blush and his pants to suddenly tighten.

Of course, this being a situation where both the written and unwritten, secular and sacred easily got tossed aside in favor of the instincts that Man had not nearly abandoned since he emerged from the Cradle of Life, he couldn't call it temptation if this was just his instinct...right? It wasn't as if he'd been guiltier of anything even more worthy of a painful death, not counting what happened last night. They were cold, they were hungry, they were probably going to be viciously murdered, why wouldn't they do something like that? It was platonic and-

"Right...erm...it's Madeleine something and Rosa Fiametta....think we should go say hello to them?"
Madeleine. That's the other girl's name.

Harun's words had fortunately snapped him out of that thought pattern yet again. Rashid didn't seriously prejudice against most people, but the implications of what he'd done that night just unsettled him. Or maybe that was just more fuel for the metaphorical mental fire. He didn't want to know either way. Right now he tried to focus on remembering who Madeleine was within his class.

"Okay...sure." Rashid replied, his mouth twitching to and from a smile. He also had absolutely no idea what was supposed to happen after they stepped out of that foliage and especially what he was supposed to do if they decided to attack the two. He took a deep breath and tried to control his quivering as he waited for Harun to make the first move.

As the other girl (dammit, Rosa still couldn't place her name and it was on the tip of her tongue) emerged from behind the tree, Rosa got a slight sense of her being a little unsettled. Perhaps it was because the girl wasn't sure of Rosa's motive, perhaps it was because of the switching up of Rosa's attire. Either way, Rosa wasn't much interested, since A was just common sense, whilst B somewhat superfluous. As the brunette approached, in fact, the Fiametta was far more concerned about making sure her outfit was in place. She was certainly showing a lot of skin, although that was the point. Hopefully there wouldn't be any cool breezes at inopportune moments, though....

Soon enough, the other girl introduced herself. Madelaine (good thing Rosa hadn't hazarded a guess, her thought was 'Natalie'). She said she wasn't playing, which seemed to Rosa to be pretty much a given. Anybody introducing themselves AS a player was either an utter psycho or ridiculously confident. Words were just air, lying was easy. God knew Rosa had done it enough times in her life to be sure of that... In response, Rosa inclined her head slightly.

"Rosa. Fiametta. I'm not playing, just searching," Rosa gave Madelaine a slightly hopeful look. "Don't suppose you happen to have seen my brother or sister, have you?"

As she spoke, Rosa's brow furrowed. If her internal clock was right, morning of the third day on this island was quickly approaching. Soon enough, the announcements would be along. Perhaps it would be worthwhile recording the killers, maybe the dead, too, although that was less of a priority. It would be good to have a list of people to watch out for, though Rosa already had a few names of students she'd run for the hills if she saw. Mostly, of course, the worry was simple. What if the announcements came on, and one of the names called out belonged to one of her triplets? Another day gone by, another slew of chances for either Frankie or Ily to be killed...

Whilst awaiting Madelaine's reply, Rosa went back over to her pack, intending on rummaging through it to locate something to write down the information which she knew would soon be forthcoming. Bending over to the bag, the Fiametta couldn't help but smirk when she felt her skirt ride up the back of her legs. That was what it was there for, of course... although Madelaine probably wasn't the type to appreciate the view-

Rosa mentally slapped herself. Really, Rosa? If she can see it, then pretty much the world can. Think people will be interested to know you go in for hot pink for the underwear? Urgh. Such an idiot...

As Harun bent down to brush some dirt off of his jeans, Rashid replied to his suggestion, agreeing with his idea to go say hello to the girls. Truth be told, he'd only suggested it because he had no idea how to react to the sight of Rosa Fiametta topless, and just running off afterwards would probably make Rashid and the people watching at home think Harun had just deliberately committed the voyeuristic equivalent of a hit-and-run. Looking at his companion as he returned to his normal posture, it was pretty obvious from Rashid's facial expression that he too had witnessed Rosa topless. His exact opinion on it however was rather hard to decipher. Unsure whether Rashid would be willing to joke about it or even discuss it (to be brutally honest, Harun wasn't one hundred percent sure Rashid was even completely straight, taking last night into account), Harun just flashed him a brief and awkward smile.

That half-hearted smile on Harun's face soon disappeared when he realised what Rashid probably wanted him to do. He wanted Harun to make the first move and go and talk to the two girls in the clearing. Harun wasn't good at talking to girls he hardly knew in a platonic sense, and talking to a girl he'd just seen half-naked would be out of the question under normal circumstances. Hell, Harun would say it was out of the question in these circumstances, but still, aside from being potentially embarrassing, he couldn't see any real reason not to.

Rosa didn't seem to be the type to play. Maybe the type to sleep her way into the final ten, but not the type to go around stabbing or shooting people. Madeleine (he hadn't been thinking about her nearly as much. The fact he hadn't seen her naked from the waist up may have had something to do with that), from what little he remembered of her, also didn't seem the type to play the game (and by playing the game, Harun meant going along with Danya's depraved terrorist event, not playing "the game", which he had just lost. But, just like in the middle of exams or moments of silence following a tragedy, being in the middle of a killing game was one of the few situations where Harun guessed it was permissible to not announce one's loss publicly.)

So, pausing to collect his thoughts, he began to walk at a steady pace towards the clearing, heading for what looked like it would be a thin layer of foliage. Pushing his way through it, he emerged a short distance away from Rosa. "Uh...hey girls...just heard you talking and thought that...." This was pretty awkward. Harun was trying to avoid looking at Rosa for obvious reasons, instead switching between looking at Madeleine and staring at his trainers that one of his cousins had brought for him the last time he visited Turkey (in return he had brought him one of the many mediocre Simpsons games. The cousin in question was 9, and at that age licensed games were pretty much the best thing in the world). He began idly drawing a line in the dirt with his sword-revolver while he paused to scratch his nose. "Erm...just thought I'd see if you were both alright, that's all...."

Resisting the urge to add an awkward "so yeah" at the end, Harun resumed staring at the ground. He'd messed this up pretty bad. The fact he probably looked really flustered and embarrassed and probably had a face as red as the flag of the USSR didn't help.

Apparently, Rosa and Madeleine were not alone in this part of the woods. This didn't come as much of a surprise to the young artist, who had learned through experience that if you talked to someone long enough, someone else would find you. Still, all things considered, she could have done much worse than bumping into Harun. She'd seen him every now and then, and he seemed shy and polite, much like herself. Even as he spoke, he showed his normal traits, using the end of his elaborate gun to scrape in the dirt at his feet. Madeleine would have smiled at this normally, but given that she had other things on her mind, she instead simply relaxed, and focused on the man behind Harun.

Madeleine wasn't very familiar with Rashid, but she knew from other people about his joking nature in regards to his religion. She had actually been fascinated to hear of that, and had wondered what he was like in person. Evidently, she was going to meet him in person, and she wondered whether the game had affected him at all.

At that moment, she realized that Harun had asked about how she and Rosa were doing. "Oh, uh...I-I'm okay, I guess," she said, absentmindedly straightening out the rolled-up sleeves of her blouse. "Listen, d-don't take this the wrong way, but...uh..." She struggled for the right words to say. "Are...are you gonna use that?" She gestured at the weird gun/sword thing that he was currently scraping back and forth across the ground. Ever since he'd walked up with that in his hand, she'd been concerned that her own gun was currently folded up in her bag and unloaded, putting her in a vulnerable position. Still, she trusted Harun, and the tone of her question had been fairly friendly. She was just curious, that's all, and wasn't in the mood for a fight.

I hope that he's as friendly as I figured, otherwise we could be in deep trouble, Fiametta and I.

As Madeleine stood tensed, waiting for Harun's answer, the second announcement began to blare. She was expecting to be on it, of course, but she had other things on her mind, like whether or not she'd be dead in the next few seconds.

If the two girls - and Harun - had paid attention to Rashid for just the right moment, they probably would have noticed his head tilted to the side a little bit. At least before Rashid turned his attention to Madeleine.

"Uh...hey girls...just heard you talking and thought that...." Harun wasn't much of an icebreaker, even with that gun-blade he had to help him out. "Erm...just thought I'd see if you were both alright, that's all...."

"Yeah, we thought we'd join you," Rashid finished, his hormones giving him a brief burst of confidence, among other increasingly obvious things. He didn't figure any of them to immediately try to kill him at least while his friend wielded the gunblade.

""Oh, uh...I-I'm okay, I guess," Madeleine replied, about as much at a predictable loss for words as Harun was. "Listen, d-don't take this the wrong way, but...uh...Are...are you gonna use that?"

It was in the silence that followed that the announcements began to play. The gratingly annoying tone of this game's ever-jovial and ever-sadistic host did its job well in digging up the paranoia that Rashid had somehow managed to settle into his psyche over the past 48 hours. This was a voice everyone was supposed to fear for good reason. If the students didn't have Rashid's life in their hands, Danya certainly did in his.

"Kill number five was none other than Eva Lancaster, with R.J Lowe showing her that it's the quiet ones that you have to watch out for... and their guns.

Just as well, Rashid's paranoia had rooted itself deep enough that he now seemed quite fixated on Madeleine throughout the span of the announcement much more than the Rosa. At least he could count on Harun at least being wobbly enough to give him those precious few seconds to take his pills with him, what with the rather large gun-blade and all. But Madeleine? He hadn't even noticed what weapon she had been carrying.

And that was an oversight that Danya had apparently seemed to predict.

Next to go down was the one and the only Jonathan Jarocki, who somehow got it into his head that running around and yelling and firing his gun like some kind of cowboy was a good idea. Miss Madeleine Smith proved exactly why that was not the case...

It was the mention of Madeleine's name that Rashid suddenly and painfully realized that he had not gotten used to surprises, even the ones that somehow appeared scripted. The one thing he hadn't figured out in his 48 hours of time to think since he left the mansion was what to do when meeting someone who had definitely killed someone. This wasn't like Daisuke or Mia, whom he knew hadn't killed someone but were probably about to snap. At least not yet.

"Madeleine...what...what did you do?" he asked, panic starting uprooting his confidence with every word. He planted one foot backward, as if to get ready to run. "What did you do!?"
