As Harold requested, his partner, Marvia, as he called her, fled the scene instead of shooting; significantly decreasing the immediate danger.
Simon stepped forward, helping Shawn to talk down Zach, but unlike himself, Shawn noticed that Simon had a stun gun, that he could use to back his words up.
Shawn turned back to Mae, when he felt her gently squeeze his arm. The serious and begging yet caring look on her face told him the basics. She had a plan in mind, and she needed him to trust him on it. Shawn might have objected, but he simply nodded at her request instead. She wanted him to trust her, so he would, as Shawn watched carefully, next to Simon.
Mae let her sword fall to the ground. She wanted him to watch it for her, as she started her persuasion in attempt to stop the violence. He looked at it, not yet ready to go near the fight. Not ready to touch an implement of war. PEACE: That's all Shawn wanted.
Sweet talking. It made sense. Zach supposedly had feelings for Mae, and that was the one thing she could use on him, to help calm him down. It really seemed to work, as Zach seemed to lower his guard. His arms beginning to let go of the huge boy who was on his knees in front of him.
Then things went wrong again.
Harold used Mae's distraction as the perfect opportunity to smash his elbow into Zach's groin.
A rush of loud expletives echoes in the air, and before Shawn knew it, Harold was back up. Even after having his head struck by a wrench, and his head bleeding quite a bit; the massive boy seemed to still be functional. His size possibly giving him a much higher defense and pain tolerance, than the average person. Almost like the ogre, he was being referred to. Then again, the snake didn't die from the wrench strike either...
“We must depart before the demon regroups himself…Shawn you must follow as well!”
Harold wanted Shawn to follow him? What does he want from m-
Then Harold grabbed Mae's hand and started running away. Kidnapping her in front of everyone. With his new knowledge on Zach's feelings toward Mae, Shawn suspected that Zach would be particularly angry about this.
Shawn looked down to see Zach's hands reaching for the katana.
No. Shawn wouldn't let him. He couldn't allow Zach to have an even more dangerous weapon, than the wrench. He ran up to it, and picked it up first, pulling the katana away from him.
But Zach didn't seem to care. He ran off, trailing after Harold and Mae.
The two boy's were both out of shape, with likely low cardio. Shawn could still catch up with them. Then try and fix this whole mess.
Shawn raised the sword into the air. Moonlight making it appear to glow as he motioned with it toward the rest of his newest companions, two them his own Gold-team-mates.
"Ali - you have a gun. Please keep everyone safe. Ben-O, watch Mae's stuff, please?"
The spontaneity of the moment, hadn't allowed her the chance to take her bag. Shawn handed Ben his guitar as well. He couldn't take it with him, while running after them. Luckily he could still carry his own bag, which was strapped against his back.
Shawn looked at Simon and the #13 bandanna on his head. "Zach's your partner... I'll bring him back."
He looked at the sword in his hand: Cold Steel. Shawn shuddered at the sight of it. He couldn't use it, but Mae told him to watch it for her. Fortunately, Shawn spotted the sheath of the sword, and covered it up.
"Stay here. I'll make sure to come back very soon."
Thrusting the sheathed sword into the air once more... Shawn nodded and sprinted out.
