The girl took her bag she had hidden somewhere and escaped, while she said "Later Bitches!".
Then Forrest decided to stop walking. He could not understand the girl, what she even wanted to achieve. Forrest did not want to follow the girl, but she had the right plan. She went away from this museum.
When the fat boy said that he continues to do what he already has done, Forrest raised an eyebrow.
What has the boy even done? This guy was useless. He would not be able to help Forrest in any way. He cannot fight, he probably cannot run and there probably are more things that boy couldn't do. And it appeared that the guy was lazy as fuck. He probably wouldn't even try to escape. If Forrest would stick around with him more, he would just see him dying. His only useful purpose could be that he would be a meatshield.
Not even his at first scary-looking axe was worth a thing. Forrest was satisfied with his club.
This boy can help himself, when he does not help Forrest. Why'd Forrest help him with anything, when he did nothing but rant? This guy can keep being here in this museum. Staying here would lead to absolutely nothing.
Forrest was going to find real allies, he could trust. People who could help him to escape. Or at least people that could help him to survive. People he could rely on. Friends.
Finally, Forrest left the museum, with his club in his right hand, his bag in the left hand and his green bandana on his right arm.
