*blows dust off the thread*

I'd answer what my fave setting is, but I just participated in TV. And I really like it. I bet playing in the other settings is fun as well.

I'm not sure anymore what I regret and what I don't. I switch my mind often.

Not sure about how to deliver criticism, because I actually aren't bothered with anything. I cannot give advice for improvement, because I like the things I read here.

So, after discovering the Program discussion thread, I discovered an interesting post by Cake.

So, inspired by that, I wanna ask, what were the most memorable Memories of Mini history for you in general?

Like for me, it'd be definitely BRAURP's Yoshio/Mizuho mutual kill scene. Or Evo Endgame. And definitely Devil Nights from Virtua. That scene is one I can still remember. If I had been active in PV1, I'd probably would've found Jerry's death post memorable. And the John Ferrera scenes as well. I think chit made some very memorable characters in each Mini.

Memorable funny scenes would probably be TV1's Jonas starting scene.

The Vincent and Karen walkie talkie scene from TV1 also will be remembered by me for a long time, I bet. As will be the love triangle Zach/Shawn/Mae. And Verizon!

While I haven't read that much PV1 and PV2, I think that the Brian/Damien duo would be a memorable duo. And I imagine Maxim's group also being influential.

Yeah, that's all I can get spontanously out of my head for now. I probably miss at least many others.

I should definitely read more mini >.>

this thread gives me tv2 flashbacks. I constantly ask myself whether it's the real announcement or secretly a jewel oneshot

I love the ability to tag the day phase in Prologue. I hope this mechanic will be able to be used in future regular Minis and Mains as well

Adding it as a permanent thing could be cool. I don't see it being as helpful for other games as it is for PV3 Prologue, but I could see a couple situations where it might help out.

My only hesitation is that implementation is a really big pain in the butt because each option has to be added manually for each area through a menu that's super prone to hiccuping and resetting stuff. For Prologue that's only a moderate inconvenience because you only have to do it once per area since the game will be four phases no matter what, but for an actual version staff would either have to know in advance how long the game will run (difficult), shoot long (kinda ugly and unwieldy), or adjust as the game progresses (which means a return to every area's coding every time a phase passes which in turn adds a whole lot of work/chance for stuff to get messed up).

To sorta illustrate, this is what the menu looks like when filled:

To add stuff, you toss it into the big box, with items denoted only by line breaks (which is a super horrible system for a number of reasons), except once submitted that changes because ???In general I like to avoid messing with the settings where possible because the menu tends to reset certain defaults by surprise ("Show first post at top of every page" is a classic) and because it takes a while and is easy to lose your place in. If there's a ton of community desire and support, it is doable... I'm just at present not totally sure the hassle level justifies it when folks can currently put thread time settings in subtitles and there's no huge mechanical reason for it in other games, especially given that often enough threads span multiple phases and thus a system of the sort can get muddled anyways.
