Schedule:
9PM Kickoff outside the Shire Homestead Gate
9:05 - 9:20 - Warders of the Weald play in Whitwhich
9:30 - 9:45 - Remediators play in Dampdale
9:55 - 10:10 - GHMS play in Addernotch
10:15 - 11:00 - After Party that the Oak & Barrel in Addernotch (Each band may play additional songs here, and there will be open mic)

Please let me know in a reply which neighborhood of the Shire Homesteads you wish to play in, and your playlist.
The playlist is just so other bands know what is being played--some may not want to duplicate a song, but there's no problem if they do--odds are the arrangements and/or lyrics would differ.

Guidelines:
  • Lyrics are welcome, but need to be Yule and Middle-Earth appropriate.
  • Avoid jarringly modern songs. Examples: Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, Christmas Shoes
  • You will have 15 minutes total to play, which is usually 3-4 songs.
  • There will be an After Party at the Oak & Barrel in Addernotch. Participating bands can play additional tunes there, with no restrictions on content beyond they be seasonal.
Looking forward to seeing folks there!!

For the Remediators, our tentative set plan would be:

O Come O Come Emmanuel 2:26
Carol of the Bells 1:46
Rui Riu Chiu 2:03
Adeste Fideles 2:33
Julbocken 1:29
Silver and Gold 1:41

.. so, including time between songs for instrument changing and such, this set should come in at just under 14 minutes.

All these songs have new lyrics that are lore-friendly (that is, they are set in Middle Earth, related to the Yule season, with no references to Christianity or any other IRL religion).

If it's not already taken, I guess we might do the set in the Dampdale neighborhood.

Neighborhood: Cropfurrows

1. On This Day (Personent Hodie), 7 parts, 1:33
2. I Saw Three Ships (arr. Cockburn), 5-8 parts, 4:09
3. O Holy Night Duet, 2 parts, Florea, 2:35
4. Sing We Now of Christmas (Think Riverdance), 5-11 parts, 2:01
Is that one too modern?

I just updated my post about the Remediators set ... we decided to replace "sleigh ride" with "silver and gold" (so our set will now be one minute shorter .. about 14 minutes total including time between songs)

Looking forward to it, Hoppa! And thanks for the heads up, Louni. I think Kaleigh, Snarald, and Lerillos will be there too, but not Carndan.

Christmas Eve Blackmore's Night (Carndan), 6 parts, 3:05

for the after party.
