THE A TEAM has bailed out of the Sunday Coed summer league at the last minute. A revised schedule is being worked on. I hope to have it up at some point tomorrow. I am sorry for the inconvenience,.

We on the A team would also like to apologize. Some things just cannot be anticipated.

Ditto to what Jeff said. This was news to me. I found out first via the message board.

According to scheduling guidelines, partial rainouts are to be scheduled for the first available Saturday. However, I can find spots for the postponed games from this past Sunday in the regular season schedule. The only possible issue is the teams involved in the rescheduling would have a traveling double header. On 6/25, the Long Shots would travel from a 2:30 Lukens 3 game to a 5:15 Hatfield game. On 7/9, Buckingham Flooring would travel from a 2:45 Cedar Hill game to a 5:15 Lukens 1 game. On 7/23, Cleanin’ Up would travel form a 4:00 Lukens 1 game to a 6:30 Hatfield game.

I am willing to make these revisions if the affected teams are willing to accept a traveling double header. If not, the only other option is a Saturday make-up. I am fine with either/or. I've asked the affected managers to kindly let me know their preference – traveling DH or Saturday morning as soon as possible.

A revised schedule will be posted once I hear back from the managers of the affected teams.

I know it's difficult to believe, but another team (Doom Cats) has bailed out on the league at the 11th hour. A revised schedule has been posted.

I fully realize people rely on these schedules to make vacation plans and the like. I cringe every time a team commits and then bails out. It creates a scheduling nightmare - not only for me, but for everyone playing in the league. I tried my best to keep things as close to the original schedule as possible, but there are changes. Connecting double headers in many instances have tied my hands. In spite of teams bailing out, each of the remaining teams will get a full compliment of 8 games. Any prior forfeits to defecting teams have become null and void.

My apologies to the league. I ask for firm commitments from each and every manager BEFORE I put the schedule together. Unfortunately, 'you know what' happens.
