Email From Hatfield Township...

Good morning,

I wanted to let you know that on Monday, August 21st we have our last concert. The band we have is extremely well known and draws a large crowd. I know we have you scheduled to begin at 8pm. If possible, we would need you to start at 8:30pm that evening.

Just so you are aware also, parking is going to be extremely limited. We are expecting over 1,000 people to attend next Monday night.

Please feel free to call me with any questions or to discuss everything further.

Thank you,

Ashley O’Neill, CPRP
Parks and Recreation Director
Hatfield Township

Reply From Softball America...

We can start at 8:30 if need be.

There is an industrial park on Sterling Dr. (see pic below) that backs up to the outfield – close enough where people could park and walk to the ball field without ever stepping on the School Road parking lot. I’m not looking for you to give me permission to park there, just wondering if you think it might be a viable alternative.

From Hatfield Township...

That would be great! You can certainly park in the industrial park, but I think some concert parking will be there as well. There will be a lot of people.

To Monday Coed League Members...

We are going to try and get Game 1 started as scheduled (8:00 pm).

From league member Eric Orr...
Hi Les,
I'm not in the Monday Coed league but I saw the post about 8/21 in school road park.  I work at the building marked GE  (we are actually Babcock and Wilcox now, Google hasn't updated it for some reason.)  I just wanted to give a heads up, players can park on the east side (nearest the park entrance for the industrial park) of our building.  Our managers don't have a problem with that.  We DO ask (and I know there may be folks who don't follow protocol, I just don't want it to be SBA people) that folks refrain from parking in front of or on the west side of our building.  That's for employees only and the west side leads to our loading dock so we ask that it not be backed up.  Just wanted to give you my company's feelings.  I like to keep SBA in their good graces since we are right out back of the Hatfield backfield.
