Your Ideal SBK Game

It's time we injected some life back into this board, people! :slashyeah:

Since I've noticed quite a bit of complaining about SBK DS from veteran fans, I give you the question:

What would your ideal SBK game be like?

I've actually thought about the idea for some time in the past, but only recently have I brought the subject up again. I called it "Snowboard Kids DX", as it was like throwing 1, 2, and Plus into a blender and making a delicious smoothie.

[CHARACTERS]
ALL characters would be present, meaning that you could have Wendy racing against Nicole, Pamela, and Ruby. There might also be an all-new character included to make it an even 15 (Five boarders for each of the three "types"). With the sheer number of boarders, there would need to be some subtle stat tweaks made to keep everyone unique. It'd also be neat to tack on a few years to them, making them 12 or 13. Since they'd be older, new outfits would be a must! Personalities will remain intact.

[SHOTS]
I do like the idea of unique shots to each character, though it'll be hard to do that with fifteen characters involved...

[THE PAINT SHOP]
Make your own snowboard design. Need I say more?

[THE GIFT SHOP]
This is the shop in SBK DS on crack. You can purchase hidden characters, extra costumes, classic courses (from SBK 1 and 2), extra paint job options, more Bleach Booth colors, cheat options, and "Sound Sets" to have access to the music as well as individual characters' voice clips! Maybe also have a "blooper reel" cut scene for sale as well.

I'll add more stuff when the ideas come to me.

Here is my ideal SBK game.

[TITLE]
My SBK game would be made for the Nintendo DS because I love the stylus, touch screen, and dual screen features. I would call it "Snowboard Kids Extreme" [I suck at titles!]. Do note that most of the stuff I would describe here will be limited, since my game is supposed to be the ideal portable SBK game.

[CHARACTERS]
The characters that would be included in "SBK-EX" would be the classic cast of Slash, Nancy, Jam, Linda, and Tommy. But you can also play as Brad, Wendy, Pamela, Sinobin, and Jack Frost -- maybe they would be considered as secret characters that you can unlock. So that we basically got a cast that almost everybody would love. [Sorry, but I see Nicole, Ruby, Koyuki, Damien, and whomever not mentioned as fillers.]

[GAMEPLAY]
The gameplay would be similar to the classic N64 games. Four racers racing against each other for the goal! Keep the goofy items and weapons that made SBK so popular. I also love for the characters to have their own signature weapon like in SBK-DS, it makes them all unique and actually gives you a reason to want to play as Pamela over Linda.

Also I would change the models they used in the SBK-DS version. Their bodies were okay, but I hated how their faces look. So I would do something to fix that to make it look more detailed. Also as for the age old question whether or not to keep with new or old style. I would think it would be cute to have one of the alternate costumes be them in their Classic N64/PS look. While the other two costumes has them in their mainstream Japanese animation look.

[COURSES]
Though I do love the Courses to take on locations in the real world. I love the unrealism of the SBK games in which you can snowboard in someone's house to a grassy valley and even to outer space! So I would keep it having the Courses be strange and whimsical, which made SBK1/+ and 2 so popular. Also I would keep with individual tracks for each Course to keep individualism between all of them. I hated that the tracks were random in SBK-DS, though I do love to change it to my favorite song. I felt no connection to the tracks because there wasn't a song to place the Course to.

[DS FEATURES]
I would ditch the mic features since I found them quite to be a hassle and they seem unnecessary other than to display the DS' many features. Also to take note of the DS' time feature. I would love for you to be able that when you're playing the game at 9 A.M., you're racing on the slopes with the sun shining bright in the horizon. But if you play the game during 9 P.M., the slopes are dark with lights lighting them ever so illuminous with the moon fading in the back.

[MR. DOG'S SHOP]
You can also buy new snowboards [Alpine, All-Around, and Freestyle]; three costumes for each character [Not alternative colors, I mean actual different outfits like they did in SBK+ and SBK2!]; cheat codes [Except make them actually necessary! Like the "land successfully no matter what" code is more useful than a "play with the worst level of visibility" code.]; unlock features such as Sound Test where you can hear the BGM, voices, and SFX; new Courses for you to play; and amongst other stuff like in the SBK-DS version. Not to mention that Mr. Dog's Shop is always open 24/7! ^^;;

[STYLUS CUSTOMIZATION]
With the stylus feature, I would love for you to be able to use it to draw designs for your snowboard, snowsuit, or emblem. Even though we are able to choose our own alternative colors, I would love for it to take the next step and give us options to be creative. Like when we race against other racers, I would love to see their emblem next to them or printed on the back of their snowsuit or helmets much as how it was shown in Mario Kart DS.

Also to give us further customization, I would love to be able to set your own hair color, snowsuit color, and snowboard color. So your dream of having a blonde Slash wearing a green snowsuit on a black snowboard would come true! With the snowboards, maybe they can do it not only to create our own snowboard design -- but we can also change the colors of the default snowboard. Much like a coloring book in which you can color it any which way you like it. Such as you get a blank version of Slash's DS Board and you can color whatever you like for it to be. Want to make the name "SLASH" appear purple with pink lightning bolts on a green background? You can do it! Though I dunno if the DS is capable of this, it would be a dream. ^^;;

That's all I can think of right now. ^^;; I suck at this.

Finally, after much venting and agitation run out of my veins, I am going to finally describe what I would love to see in an SBK game...

(Note: Some of you might recognize these)

[TITLE AND SYSTEM]
Keeping to the original tradition, I stay with Snowboard Kids 3, I keep it simple and to the point, as did the original two games, and I feel that if we want the game to feel like the original, yet of course add something more, we have to keep it like the original.

Oh, and the system, if it comes out correctly, would be the Nintendo Revolution, the game would require the attachment of a Nintendo 64 Controller Shell for your Nintendo Revolution Controller, here's a prototype.

http://img372.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ell8ye.jpg

[CHARACTERS]
Our star characters would be making their appearances once again, but of course some time has passed, so in such, I give you these new, in-depth character bios...

Note: I have also given with each of their character bios, their unique items, I have designed their unique items around their personalities to make them a lot more enjoyable, I hope you all get a rise out of them.

Note 2: I have not given them any clothing designs as of yet, I won't do so for the sake of Atlus' ideas on it. I also have listed stats from 1 to 5, 5 being the best (The stats are of course not set in stone, so don't yell at me, please?)

Slash Kamei: (Balance Type) :slashyeah:
Age: 12
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Speed: 3
Corner: 3
Trick: 3
Description: An energetic individual with a competitive attitude and a love for mischief. A prideful individual who is very proud of his snowboarding skills, but tends to be a sore loser upon defeat. He's had a long standing rivalry with Linda, one that he just can't seem to get off his shoulders, and tends to always give it his all when against her. Slash's mischieviousness tends to vary depending on his mood, from the planned pranks he usually does, to small little ones he thinks are "good for a laugh." He believes himself the ringleader of the group, and uses his skills in snowboarding to attempt to enforce that feeling.
Unique Item (Tree Trap) (1 per Special): Probably one of the more unbelievable weapons, Slash's Tree Trap is simply a small rope that he throws out towards a competitor, and snares them by the leg. Upon a successful hit, a tree rises out of nowhere to pull the victim up and hang from the tree, what makes this weapon even better is that oncoming players can crash into the tree while it's still standing. The tree tends to stay in the area for a good duration (10 seconds), while the snared character is released and dropped to the ground in less time (5 seconds). If this weapon is deflected, Slash will have to jump or deflect back, jumping over the shot though will cancel it, as the shot can only go so far (Until it hits a wall, the rope then retracts to Slash).

Nancy Neil: (Trick Type) :nancyhappy:
Age: 12
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Light Blue
Speed: 2
Corner: 4.5
Trick: 5
Description: Kind and gentle, the playful Nancy Neil focuses primarily on her trick style and coordination. In person, Nancy tends to be a generous and pleasant person to be around, but people like Jam have taken a bit of jealousy towards her for how she handles on the slopes. While not truly wishing competition with Jam, Nancy's not one to back down from an opportunity to be around another. Nancy has a great love of animals, especially bunnies, usually to the point where if she sees one, it almost always has to be pet.
Unique Item: (Bunny Call) (1 per Special): Nancy's love for animals has given her a unique ability to bring animals "specifically bunnies" to her while she's competing, these bunnies surround her entirety and keep up with her while she's boarding, providing her with a protective element around her. Shots upon her will no longer affect her while the bunnies surround her, the only thing that will effect her is a well-placed rock. Shots upon Nancy will instead hit a bunny, which in turn will flop over, causing Nancy to yell at the person who hit the bunny. The bunnies will follow Nancy for quite a while (15 seconds), after it ends, the bunnies will all run off to the side.

Jam Kuehnemund: (Trick Type) :jamgood:
Age: 12
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green/Teal
Speed: 2.5
Corner: 4
Trick: 4
Description: An impressively energetic Jamaican boy with a hot sense for music, especially rap. Jam's skill on the slopes could be measured as much as he likes music. Jam has a unique style of snowboarding which he feels he owes to music itself for creating his style, while he's proud of it, he feels his skills are being threatened by Nancy's talent. He competes against Nancy to prove that he is the best at tricks, at the same time he always strives to be the best there is on the slopes overall. In person, Jam's a very good-natured individual, easy to get along with, but tends to be a brat when it comes to assisting Slash in the occasional prank.
Unique Item (Boom Box Shot) (1 per Special): Though a rather confusing weapon, it stays true to Jam's love for music, and as such, he's acquired a taste of the music all the others seem to like. In this, Jam's Boom Box Shot is not exactly accurate, but when it connects, causes the victim to it to begin dancing and singing to their favorite music, each character's choice being different from the rest, the issue with it is that it can also be deflected back, causing Jam himself to dance to something he likes. At the end of a song (lasts 5 seconds), the victimized character then trips over the boom box, and upon getting up, is able to control themselves again.

Tommy Parsy: (Speed Type) :tommypunch:
Age: 12
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Speed: 5
Corner: 1
Trick: 1
Description: Not exactly the most ideal snowboarder on the course, where Tommy lacks in control, he makes up in pure agility. Tommy's speed on the slopes is unmatched to any others, though people like Slash tend to believe it's because of his weight. While not as bulky as he was before, Tommy still feels that his focus on speed is what makes him so unique, and gives him a strong edge when competing. Tommy's nature isn't exactly one of competition though, compared to his rather intimidating speed on the slopes, in fact Tommy is just about as against competition as Nancy is. Most of the kids tend to treat Tommy as if he's just a passive glutton, but at the right times, Tommy can speak out, his words actually being some of the wisest in the group. Tommy's usually always seen with a hamburger in his hand, one of the stereotypes the kids use to tell him that he eats too much.
Unique Weapon (Burger Shot) (3 per Special): As said before, Tommy's not just all into eating hamburgers, and does have some wisdom in him. In such, his special ends up being an ironic slap to the face for his competitors. Tommy's Burger Shot throws a burger akin to a Snowman, it bounces off walls and collides into people, the only issue, it also will begin to home in on an opponent should it get close, upon successful contact, the victim transforms into a giant hamburger and can no longer steer, what makes it unlike the snowman though, is that crashing into a wall instead makes the victim bounce off the wall. The shot of course can be deflected, but if it hits Tommy, instead of being effected, he'll catch the burger shot and be able to use it again.

Linda Maltinie: (Speed Type) :lindalaugh:
Age: 13
Hair: Red/Brown
Eyes: Brown
Speed: 4.5
Corner: 2
Trick: 2
Description: Snobby and uptight, the rich girl of Snow Town, Linda Maltinie, tends to be a fierce competitor when she's on the slopes. Linda's heated rivalry with Slash pushes her competitive demeanor over the edge at times. Linda considers herself to be the social butterfly of the group, always keeping everyone and anyone up to date on things she's doing, events she's planning, and of course, events that she's won or been the top notch at. Linda's design of the first Snowboard Kids tournament, the Maltinie Cup, has brought her and the kids further together than ever before, though the kids do not like her snobby exterior, she does have a kind side, but should she be angered, such as what Slash does to her often, her rage is something not even Slash can handle.
Unique Weapon (Gold Rush) (1 per Special): Linda's known greatly for her rich girl attitude and demeanor, she's also known to be carrying a lot of money with her wherever she goes. In this case, her weapon is quite literally, a sack of money which she can either throw forward, or drop backwards, when it comes in contact with something (Be it a victim or a wall), it drops 4-8 little "golden rocks" upon the course where it erupted, scarred in the area,, which causes others whom run over it to trip, in Linda's case though, running through the rocks being Linda causes her to gain 100 gold per rock.

Wendy Lane: (Trick Type) :wendyidea:
Age: 12
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Thick-Glasses, Eye Color Unknown
Speed: 2
Corner: 5
Trick: 4
Description: Wendy is the little inventor of Snow Town, young and intelligent, Wendy's focus on Snowboarding is not as deep as the rest of the kids, but Wendy does enjoy coming up with different ideas on making the Snowboarding Competitions even more interesting by designing different items and shots for the kids to use. Wendy in her spare time tends to "invent" tricks that have given her an all time edge when it comes to performing tricks and maintaining control, this makes her almost like Nancy's save for the fact that Wendy's control is a tad better, while Nancy's skill at tricks is better than Wendy's. Wendy has gained a rivalry with Damien over time, at first due to his previous robot, now in other robot-building competitions, as well as in competitive snowboarding. Wendy seems to believe Damien will go back to his sinister ways, whether her motives are right or not, time will tell.
Unique Item (Rocketgirl) (1 per Special): Wendy's latest and greatest invention allows her board to pop out four rockets and a set of handlebars, and allows the little inventor to blast forward for ten seconds at incredible speeds and handling, the only drawback to this ability is rocks and backwards bombs, as they will cause the rockets to fall off, and her handlebars to drop. Pans will not affect Wendy in this state, nor will other simple shot items.

Damien: (Balance Type) *Unlockable Character* :damienevil:
Age: ??? (Believed to be 13)
Hair: Black (With horns)
Eyes: Emerald
Speed: 4
Corner: 2.5
Trick: 2.5
Description: The Demon Child of Snow Town has still been around, though has rather given up on trying to pull anything big on the kids, instead Damien has taken a bit of competition against Wendy, both of them tending to be great robot designers, Damien believes that instead of developing his control, he should develop his speed and his techniques, this gives him a distinct edge in competition. Damien tends to be rather passive in person, to rather hostile should you catch him while he's plotting something, Slash doesn't like Damien's intentions, and Wendy of course believes he's up to no good.
Unique Item (Big Bomb) (1 per Special): The biggest, baddest explosive you've ever seen, it seems like a simple bomb, save for the fact that it's more accurate, and on contact, causes a massive explosion that hits anyone in the area of the blast, causing them to fly up even higher than a normal bomb (Off the screen), and crash back onto the ground, what's worse about this deadly bomb is that it's not deflectable, meaning that you must outmaneuver the bomb, or find a way to jump over it in time.

(More characters later)

[GAMEPLAY]

As the game will be using the N64's controls, we know how they work, but I will restate them just in case, I did also wish to add a couple new features in. (You'll see them as they're updated, one being the use of the D-Pad)

Control Stick: Controls direction of board, diagnally pressing down and a side will also cause sharp turns.

Start: Pauses the game and also enters certain menus on the start screen.

A: Jump, tap a to do a hop.
B: Use a Blue-Box Item
C Buttons: Perform Board Grabs while in midair.
D-Pad: Use to "Shove" a nearby boarder, can shove to the sides only.
L: No Function (Yet!)
R: Look behind you to see oncoming attacks and opponents.
Z: Use a Red-Box Shot Item

The game's handling will be similar to that of both SBK1 and SBK2, how, you ask? Well, aside from the controls we all know about, I have thought of a method that will incorperate both trick systems from SBK1 and SBK2 as one full trick system, you all think i'm crazy? Take a gander at this...

TRICKS

360: Hold A, Hold Left or Right, Release A, (tap A to continue to another trick.)
Flip: Hold A, Hold Up or Down, Release A, (tap A to continue to another trick.)
360 Flip: Hold A, Hold a Diagnal, Release A, (tap A to continue to another trick.)
Side Spin: Hold A, Full Circle from Left or Right, Release A, (tap A to continue to another trick.)

Special Tricks: Special tricks, instead of needing to be a pattern of directions, would instead be a pattern of different tricks that ends with a special finisher, it can be two tricks, it can be up to 5 tricks, but the special finisher will earn you a boatload of gold should you be able to nail it. (Special tricks to be determined, i'll get a good list going)

(More to be added later, sleepy time is now, sorry!)
Linda Maltinie: Snowboard Princess of Snow Town
For the Pride of Maltinie Company! The Couch Corporation crumbles under the Maltinie Company!

Hmmmmm... Ultimate Snowboard Kids game... ::thinks to self::

[Title and System]
Title-Unknown... >.<
System- All of the current ohes, plus the next generation consoles! (The likelyness of that happening is a googleplex to .00000001)

[Characters]
All of the known characters now (including those in Snowbow Kids Plus) plus some new added ones)

[Gameplay]

The game would have all the three old games (Snowbow Kids Plus taking place of Snowboard Kids 1). So it's kinda like all three blended together, plus some added new things. But, the artstyle can be chosen! So either the old style with the big noses, or the new more realisitic one! =PP Right now, I'm not sure of anything else yet...

-Tricks- Tricks are does with a Snowboard Kids 2 feel. Except money will be lower. Like only 25G or something. This way, you can also include special tricks! Special tricks would have certain button inputs or touch screen things (depending on the system obviously).
-Items and Shots-Items and shots will be gotten like in the original games. You run through a box thing and it costs so-and-so amount of money. But, like in the new game, the box will NOT take time to regenerate. So it doesn't disappear or anything. Items/shots can be powered up using special tricks. (I'm not sure just how much or anything yet)
-Dodging- Dodging will be like in the old games where you either jump over it or use an invisibility. Or you can do a trick to reflect a shot (preferably with a board grab) and get a chance to hit another player or the shooter person.
-Shop- You can buy, customize, and even create boards! (Creating boards will have to be unlocked at the end of a game.)
-Gallery- Listen to voice samples and game music, statistics and stuff! (Like Wendy's Internet)

Okay! This is it for now! I'll edit it later and stuff if I feel like it! =PP

Actually, now that I think about it I think the kids should be a bit older. Like 13 and 14.

But still appear in the old style.

I was thinking, maybe with the bunny call on Nancy, well maybe, every once in a while, out of random, she could get a bigger animal that comes along with the bunnies, and maybe upon being hit isn't hurt but but deflects the shots back at the shooter.

Just an idea =/

Actually a few people suggested that to me over AIM, it sounds like a good idea actually, but instead of having something else come out, how about it just being a random chance per shot to Nancy? :lindalaugh:

This is my game

Title:SBK: World Tournament

Platform: DS

Background: One year has passed since the world tour challenge.
John Gladius, the previous sponser for the last tournament, complained
the amount of competitors that particitpated then.
He then gets an idea, he sends a invatation to all of the past competors
to the new SBK tournament. 14 kids. 1 grand prize. 1 winner.

Gameplay: Well as the story said, all characters from SBK1,2,Plus and DS
are here for the tournament(not including Mr.Dog,Coach,Max and Jack Frost
I only wanted the humans to be in this(with Damien as a exception)).

Characters: The character's story are going to br quite deep.
Some ideas are for instance:Slash is eager to beat Brad as he lost to him
again.Koyuki wants to snowboard again, but can't because of her ninja training.
When she gets the invataion, she leaves her clan at night. The next morning
when her family discovers she's left, Koyuki's father instructs her older siblings,
Shinobin and Kaede,to enter the tournament aswell to retrive her.
Pamela decide's if she wins, she will use the prize money to make another blockbuster film. And Linda and Nicole's old rivalry is rekindled.

Game Modes:Tounament Mode- Choose a boarder and go through eight rounds.

Well, if they plan to make the game for the DS again, which I sincerely hope they don't, then they had best make the controls seem a tad more user-friendly. Being able to barely jump and having the computer players constantly ganging up on you is not my idea of a good SBK game, you know?

It be just like SBK 2 with diffrent courses and secret ones.

And when you started a save/load game you can create your own character!

One thing I rarely see among people's ideas is storyline.

Anyone have a decent storyline? I did like parts of Nicole's storyline.

for a few years. Then one day, her brother Brad had came back with the third snowboarding tournement trophy in his hand. Making his family proud, including
Linda, She suddenly got a strong fever that fought off the the cold completely.

In the morning, two envelopes came for Linda and Brad. They were invitations

Yeah I just got a course idea as well.
I am going to call it"Mt. Maltinie".
It's located in Linda's and Brad's back yard.

I decided to make a medium to short length mountain
with a few feilds of pine trees, caves and some wicked jumps.

Also, thre is a hot spring where the snow falls into and melts(this why there is no snow in the Linda's Castle course located near it).

I'll put it up soon!

Okay, here's my ideal SBK game:

Title: Snowboard Kids GC
Platform: Nintendo Gamecube
ESRB Rating: E10+

Story: There's a snowboarding world tour going on. And the characters will have their own endings as well when the game is mastered.

Characters: At first, there will be all the characters that were non-secret from all four SBK games. And the unlockable characters are Sinobin, Kaede, and Damien. The four kids that are the minor characters from SBK+ will be unlockable too, but I'm not sure how if it's two boys and two girls, or one boy and three girls.

They will have the same outfits as from SBK DS, but they'll have unlockable outfits too. And you can as well change the color. Different boards with different levels for each can appear in the game too.

Controls:The characters will also have shots, but depending on their type, they can also have more powerfull attacks too. EX: Slash is a electric type, and he could use eletric attacks. Though, I'm not sure what buttons to press.

Like in SSX Tricky, you can use the yellow control stick to push people over, which fills up you SBK meter all the way.

I'll add more when I can!

Pretty much everything you just said.

But maybe have the title be Snowboard Kids 3, since it would be new.

Or even Snowboard Kids DS.

New Paths: At the first turn right, there is a metal barricade wedged in the banked turn. Players will need to aquire a bomb to destroy the blockage and reveal the short cut. The shortcut consists of an icy path with a rocket pad in the middle. You come out of the shortcut near the next right turn.

If you failed to take the shortcut above, then there will be a a rail found to the right after the first jump to grind across, cutting through the sharp right turn.

Big Snowman

Laps: 2
Difficulty: 1 1/2 /5

The big mammoth of a course Big Snowman returns for another year for the big competition. Being the longest track, the builders decided to make the most of it and expand the possibilities of this track. Spawning an entirely new route down the mountain, Big Snowman is good to go!

New Path: While the original track has been left untouched, a new route can be found to the right near the end of the large tunnel. But be warned, this path is recommended for experts only! Taking the alternate path, you come to a sudden drop, covered with mist and fog. Once landing, you will find yourself riding on sheet ice. The ice will not effect your speed, but will limit your turning ability. There will be large rocks jutting out of the ground which you must avoid.

After clearing that section you will come to a long set of moguls with some trees stting atop of them. You can do some tricks off of them, but watch out for crashing into the trees.

For the final part of the expert route, there will be a short turn to the left going across a waterfall. The waters will push you towards the edge, making you fall off.

After that, the path will merge with the original path, and you will come to the final jump on the course.

Sunset Rock

Laps: 3
Difficulty: 2/5

Sunset Rock, a course covered in the beautiful Canadian sunset. Also known to be a rather challenging beginner course. When this track was confirmed to appear in next competition, the sponsers gave the builders a big challenge to do, but they were able to complete it. With a new section down the river found in the course, this certainly will be no walk in the park for the riders.

New Path: As said above, the new path can be found by veering off to the right when crossing the river. When you take this route, the terrain will become steeper and you will come across some tight turns, then a rather large jump. After landing, you will exit the water and you will be boarding in a chasm found right under the shooting snowman. After some easy left and right turns, you'll cross a rickety wooden bridge over the lake found near the big jump into the tunnel. Be careful, as parts of the bridge will break away, leaving holes for you to fall into. After getting across, you will be boarding uphill, so be sure not to fall over. When getting atop of the hill you'll find yourself going over the small bridges that are found over the chasm of the normal path. Soon the two paths will merge, and you will be heading into the ski lift.

Sunny Mountain

Laps: 3
Difficulty: 1/5

A rather easy course found in Snow Town, Sunny Mountian is rather overlooked by many of the riders, being a track that lacks difficulty. This time the builders decided to up the ante by adding a secret shortcut found on top of the cave. Only the most dedicated rider will be able to reach it.

New Path: To access to shortcut found on top of the cave, you will need to find and activate three levers placed throughout the course. The first lever can be found near the house at the start. The second is found behind a tree near the cave. The last is found on the top of the banked turn after the cave. If you have activated all of them, a ramp with a rocket pad will rise from the ground. On top of the cave is a heap of coins and red and blue shops. You exit the shortcut by simply jumping off the end of the cave.

(More tracks will be posted later.)

Characters:

The complete cast of Snowboard kids 1, +, and 2. I'm not sure if I should add any others other than Brad.

Gameplay:

I'd love to see all the previous items and shots in Snowboard kids 1 and 2.
As wacky all of the games are I still want it to be a little "realistic" so the SBK1 trick system will be implimented however features from the sequel will still exist. The shot reflecting element would be present but I'd like to add a little more detail.

Shot Reflection

Depending on what board trick you perform, it will influence the direction the shot travels when it is reflected.

Back: Straight Back to the sender
Left or right: Will be sent in the respective directions until they home into another person or hit a wall.
Up: The shot will be launched straight in the air. If timed correctly it will land on the ground after 1-3 seconds rather than on the person's head. If the shot doesn't hit anyone upon landing, it will continue to travel forward. Shots reflected this way will have added effects. For example, if a bomb lands on the ground it will explode and have twice the blast radius, if the person is hit in mid air the blast radius is also "extended" downwards. If it’s a freeze shot, the ice won't break if another player crashes into it.
Diagram

legend:
board: \
shot: <

before: \<
^
after: \

The steeper the angle the board is during the grab on impact, the higher (and less farther) the shot will travel. Therefore the higher the chances the player's counter won't backfire (ie land on their head or follow them)

This is the list of additional effects shots will have after becoming refected upwards.

Bomb: Blast radius will double. If it hits target in the air the blast radius will "extend" downwards.

Freeze Shot: Freezes target for a longer duration. When players crash into target the ice will not break

Slap Stick: When comes in contact with player (unavoidable except via jumping) the target is knocked down and loses up to six coins.

Whirlwind: After it hits target, the whirlwind will stay in place and grow for 3 seconds. Both items will be lost apon impact.

Parachute: Target will be in mid air for a longer duration and will be sent backwards while flying.

Snowman: Once it hits the ground it splits into eight pieces and travel in seperate directions, they can stay on the field longer than regular snowmen.

Sorry Nicole about stealing/copying your controls, I just wanted to expand on your ideas. Some of them were the backwards view and grab and shot reflection. This is yet another thing I want to expand on:

Tricks (Spins and Flips)

Manual Mode (Wii-Mote + Nunchuk and Classic Controller)

This is the mode used in previous titles. One can hold the A button, tilt the stick in a direction and release the A button. This can spawn many combinations.

Tilt Mode (Wii Mote + Nunhuk)

This type of control take advantage of the Wii's motion sensing capabilities. Don't worry, if you still don't get the hang of this method the manual mode is available too.

Hold the A button on the Wii Mote
Use your wrist to tilt the Wii-Mote left, right, up, down or diagonally. As long the A button is still held, you can continue to do tricks.

Extras

Alternate Costumes

Each character will have a brand new costume and a palette swap of it. There will be at least 7 Costumes for each character. They include Costumes from past games and maybe even some other ideas for the "unlockable" one. If the character was not present in that game, they can be reimagined and have an "appropriate" costume.

Default Costume (SBK3)
Palette Swap Costume (SBK 3)
Original Costume (First Game)
Alternate Costume (SBK+)
Default Costume (SBK2)
Default Costume (SBK DS)
Random/Cosplay

Extra Shots and Items

I can't decide which option to do for this one, I'll post them both and see what you think.

Sonic Boom - Item Version - Icon Sound wave: Inspired by Jam's signature shot. All characters will have their directional controls inverted (left becomes right, up becomes down and so on.) for a short period of time.
Sonic Boom Shot Version: Character will take out a guitar and play a loud chord. A sound wave will come from the user and spread for a certain distance. Anyone caught in the sound wave will be launched into the air. If reflected (which is unlikely) a portion of the wave will be sent to the user or cancel out the other waves.
Finally got a copy of SBK1 after first renting it ages ago.

To be fair, it could just be that he agreed with your control scheme; honestly some people may actually like that scheme, and considering that the game isn't actually being "made" I don't see how it's a problem.
