Recently I found an emulator that let you play N64 multiplayer games online. Obviously, I came here to tell you guys about it so that we could get together and play SBK without actually getting together!
Download the Latest Version of the Emulator here...
NOTE: I still haven't tested if online works with SBK1, seeing as it IS a cult-classic, I figured there'd be no one to play with.... >_>
Now I don't know if it's against the rules to tell you where someone would Hustle you a Rom, but I figure it shouldn't be too hard to find. Make sure you use the one with (U)(!) after it, as we all have to be using the same version and I have something against all the others.
First thing you should do it go into settings and change your control scheme to your liking. The default is crappy. For example, I have WASD movement, Space to jump, shift to use red boxes, Q to use blue boxes. And the arrow keys to do grabs. However you want to do it is fine, but I think my set up is pretty good. >_>
Second, go to the screen where you load a Rom, and HIGHLIGHT it, and go find "Network Play" or something like that in the menu on top, and once we actually choose a day to test/play this, we can finally play together.
...And if SBK fails we can always play Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros.

Thanks to enigmaopoeia for the Smilies and for fixing up the avatar. Thanks to Veertje for drawing the picture of them for me in the first place.
