This is a text poll here. After reading some comments between Sarahsuke and myself in BobTheFish's "ENGLISH site" topic, I am curious about what are your favorite pairings in Snowboard Kids series. [For the sake of this topic, please don't include original SBK characters that you've made.]

I was wondering which is the most popular SBK pairing amongst us. You can list as many as you like, just make sure that you support them because I am tallying them up!! You can also talk about why you support them or you can see if there are others who like this pairing just as much as you do. Please don't flame others for their opinions, especially if their pairing is not canon or widely accepted. Also I am allowing yaoi [male x male, such as Slash x Jam] and yuri [female x female, such as Linda x Nancy] pairings because some of us might have slash pairings in mind. But please be courteous to those who might be uncomfortable, I want us to have fun here! =)

Also for the SBK-DS characters, please separate DS Slash, DS Jam, DS Nancy, and DS Tommy from the N64/PS versions of Slash, Jam, Nancy, and Tommy since they all have different personalities. [As noted in their DS character profiles.] So if you prefer "DS Slash with SBK2 Nancy", say so. ^^;;

- SBK Series = Slash, Jam, Linda, Nancy, Tommy, and Sinobin.
- SBK2 = Wendy, Coach, Mr. Dog, and Black/Damien.
- SBK+ = Nicole, Pamela, Ruby, and Kaede.
- SBK-DS = DS Slash, DS Jam, DS Nancy, DS Tommy, Brad, Koyuki, MAX, and Jack Frost.
- NPCS = Homeroom Teacher, Nicole's Servant, and Slash's Mother.

SNOWBOARD KIDS SERIES PAIRINGS:
Here are the pairings, in order from the most popular at the top to the least popular on the bottom!

MALE x FEMALE:
- Slash x Linda = 4.
- Tommy x Nancy = 3.
- Jam x Wendy = 2.
- Jam x Linda = 1.
- Slash x Wendy = 1.
- Slash x Nancy = 1.
- DS Tommy x DS Nancy = 1.

MALE x MALE:
- Slash x Jam = 2.
- Ruby x Tommy = 1.

FEMALE x FEMALE:
- Linda x Nicole = 3.
- Nicole x Pamela = 1.

*cracks knuckles* Okay, here's mine, all from the older games.

Slash x Linda: They may bicker a lot, but unlike what we see of Linda and Nicole, they actually do have moments where they seem to get along peacefully. Besides, Linda's "What about me?" at the end of the Whirlwind 4-Koma in SBK2 makes me take it as a shipping hint. After all, why WOULD she care if Slash was paying attention to her or not?

Jam x Wendy: There's a lot of hints of this in SBK2 (the most obvious being the moments where you see them in town together), but sadly most fans ignore them because they don't like Wendy. One reason might be because her personality isn't really blatantly touched upon, and she's only in one game so far. From what I gather from the cutscenes and 4-koma, she's a bubbly sort who can be a bit eccentric at times...and she doesn't seem annoyed by Jam's flaunting like the others are.

Tommy x Nancy: At first I thought I was the only one who liked this pairing, but then I met you! They seem like they'd get along really well, and they'd even bemoan their more tempermental friends together. Also, Tommy's more sensitive than the other boys, so he earns brownie points there. All in all, an adorable couple.

Yes, that would be an interesting fanfic. Though DS isn't actually related to the previous games, it's fun to find ways to tie it all together in some fashion. After all, the key phrase in fanfiction is "What if?"

Speaking of created characters, I do have a female original character named Cleo Fawn. I have her assisting Mr. Dog by painting snowboards, since she's too physically frail to race with the others. She's such a Pisces. XD

But that's for another topic, maybe!

How will you get beaned in the head? To me it seems like a lot of fangirls like pairing Slash and Jam up.

You know what would be a funny pairing?

Mr. Dog x Nicole's Servant.

I'm not serious about this, though, so don't count it. XD

I can imagine them having tea together for some reason.
"Would you like a tart, Mr. Dog?"
"Oh, I would be delighted, thank you!"

I've told only a few people about this one, but when I found that DS-Jam actually did comment on another person winning (Koyuki), I considered them as a possible pairing until I realized there wasn't really anything "shippy" about what he said to her.

It's still suspicious how he shows up in her ending with Slash and Brad, though.

Judging by how Kaede behaves in her ending, she'd be running around all over the place and dragging Jam with her.

But just because the majority thinks it works doesn't mean it would... Take personalities and interpersonal relations into account, not just how they sound or look. Think for yourself!

PS: It's weird how a lot of people think that Slash and Nancy are the "main" guy and girl (making them invoke the rule that the main guy and main girl always pair up), but I believe that any of the playable characters can be the main characters if they're important enough to the storyline.
