Ideas on how to make the Forum active again?

Well yes. Though I have to wonder what aspects of game 1 and 2 would survive on the transfer to the Wii. Its pretty clear SBK DS wasn't well recieved by many, fan or not and I have played it now, not as bad as I first thought but the complaints are definately valid, but what do you think would work on the Wii?

One thing that I can say that would fail, only allowing Wiimote controls *noooooooo*

There have been some ideas for SBK wii games on the forum but I'm not sure if has been cleaned up yet. I'll post it up if I can find the link.

I wonder if the characters will revert back to their original selves. (If it exists for the Wii and other consoles)

That can also include their style of having big and long noses again. xD

There would be a chance that the original style would return if Racjin could develop the game this time around.

Even better. They might revert back to Nancy and Tommy's original personality. Eh... I don't think it will be 100% recovered since the DS version took a big turn on them :\. I'm not sure

What Silver is trying to say is that if another game like SBK DS was released he wouldn't buy it (or alright, have reservations about buying it), a valid point that I'm sure many of us share.

Seeing SBK come back after all those years only to be completely different and for the worse was like a slap in the face.

But atleast it showed that they didn't forget about the series. >_>

Hmm, I haven't played the game yet, looks like from what people are saying I shouldn't.

I still get heaps of play time out of the first 2.
And of course they are on the 64, so they are automatically better than anything else.

SBK DS seems to be alright; however, there are some stages that can be quite impossible at times....

A friend of mine rented it a long while back, he seemed to like it but he didn't know about the previous SBK titles too much.

As unfortunate as Graalof1ce's reply is, I happen to agree with him. Still, this should not dishearten fans of SBK from still wanting to talk about or suggest new things about the series, if not at least to express our own imaginations in regards to SBK.

Eh the smallish community we have now is not exactly a disaster. I've seen smaller survive.

Ideally I'd hope to create my own racing series with characters and theme a similar flavour to SBK, though I would make my characters around 15 instead of 10 (so Linda and Nicole don't look quite as silly).

Though I wouldn't entirely use Snowboards, that would just reek of rip off

Other than resemblance to some of the characters, many people might not draw a connection between the two games unless such a statement is publicized. Though I can't imagine the kids riding anything other than snowboards!

Well the characters would be not like the kids at all. They'd have their own personalities and not really based off anyone.

Also a wiiware game involved snowboarding and items was apparently released, I haven't seen it yet though.

*phew* Man, after a few months of idleness I've finally returned to the forum.

I would also like to apologize for those who are looking forward into seeing my fan made game cover of Snowboard Kids 3. I'm still working a little bit on the character designing, and the cover itself.

I'll try to get it done asap.
