THESE RULES ARE THE GENERAL BASIS FOR ALL ROLEPLAYING EVENTS THAT TAKE PLACE WITHIN THIS FORUM, FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THEM WILL RESULT IN A WARNING, CONTINUED VIOLATIONS WILL MERIT BANNING FROM THE FORUMS ENTIRELY, THIS IS A SPAM-LESS AND FLAME-LESS FORUM, AND WILL BE ENFORCED AS SUCH.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    First, a few explanations:

Topic Creator: Creator of the RP thread, the Topic Creator is considered the moderator of their topic, in such they design their own rules and regulations for their specific RP thread. They are also the initial storyline designer for their own topic, which will permit them to things such as narration and description of the setting, time, and situation. The Topic Creator may also choose to simulate a player in their RP thread, but still hold the responsibilities of keeping their RP thread organized. Topic Creators are also allowed to include Spectators and remove Players at will.

Player: Players are participants in an RP thread, and are expected to follow the rules that the Topic Creator of said RP thread set down. Players are permitted to involve themselves in the ongoing storyline so long as the Topic Creator permits them to, and may be ejected at any time by the Topic Creator should the Player get out of hand. If such a thing should occur, the Topic Creator should notify a moderator with the player's forum name, the time of the incident, the reason for ejection, and a brief log of what merited the ejection as well for proof.

Spectator: Spectators are simply viewers of a currently unfolding RP thread, and are not permitted to engage in RP threads they are not Players of. A Topic Creator may decide to replace an ejected Player with a Spectator, or decide to involve the spectator directly into the RP thread, but must update their log of Players (see below) so to prevent moderators from taking action against a forum member who is not registered as a Player in said RP thread.

RP Moderator: RP Moderators are the global moderators, and admins of the boards, and they have the authority to monitor the RP forums for various violations to the rules and regulations on the RP Forums. RP Moderators are permitted to interject in RP threads, but are advised not to unless it calls for the termination of the RP thread. RP Moderators are to contact violators of the rules and regulations via PM only, and those recieving the PM are expected to keep eyes out for these, ignorance will not be an excuse. RP Moderators will first issue a verbal warning to violators, and should continued offenses occur, forum warnings will begin being issued, as it will be considered an offense to the entire forums rather than just the RP Forum. Further information on RP Moderators (Namely global mods) will be listed below in their perspective areas.

    -----------------------------------------

*If Violated: Violation of this will likely be common early on, and will rarely ever issue a warning. RP Moderators are recommended to make sure every value is in place, and if it is not, the Topic Creator should be informed of the missing fields, and urged to include them.
    ----------------------------------

    For All Users
    ----------------------------------

Control In/Out of Character Status - Make sure you are being clear when you are speaking as a character in an RP thread, and should you need to ask an OOC (Out of Character) question to the Topic Creator, do so using the following format (minus the quotations):

" (OOC: Your text here) "

*If Violated: Violation of this rule is minor, but can become troublesome if constantly violated. Verbal warning will be issued to the offender (preferably by the Topic Creator) and if still being violated, RP Moderator action may be taken. *

No Flaming - No clear insults of other Players or the Topic Creator, this should be obvious from the General Forum Rules, but in the RP Forum, this rule has a zero-tolerance policy, as not only can it hurt one's feelings, it can completely shatter the motivation of the RP Thread to continue.

*If Violated: Violation of this rule is critical, and will be dealt with harshly. Violators of this taboo rule will be suspended from the forums for a period of one week, and will have their forum warning level altered depending on the severity of the flame-ridden topic. In critical states, this can even lead to complete banishment from the forums. *

Stay in Topic - Do not start multiple topics on the RP Forum unless you plan to monitor all of them at once, this is disruptive and will be treated as a General Forum Violation.

*If Violated: Poster of said topics will be asked of their purpose for them. If considered disruptive, posts will be moved and violator will receive a forum warning. Higher cases may result in loss of posting privileges for a duration.

No Godmoding - Godmoding in an RP Forum is never fun for those who aren't godmoding, so we expect the courtesy of fair play between all players and Topic Creators. Godmoding of any sort should be reported to an RP Moderator should the Topic Creator be unable to control the situation.

*If Violated: Godmoders should be handled by the Topic Creator first, and if they cannot be handled, can be reported to an RP Moderator to be warned. Should it continue, it will be considered a disruptive event, and a forum warning will follow on the Godmoder.

No Spectator Feedback - Spectators, not being players in an RP Thread, are not allowed to post in a thread they are not a Player in. If they want to participate, they must PM the Topic Creator, or apply to the part via the "RP Recruitment" forum in the RP Forums.

*If Violated: The Topic Creator should send a PM to the Spectator to cease disruption of the RP Thread currently in progress. Should continued disruption occur, the Topic Creator should PM an RP Moderator about the issue.

*claps* Wow, what an amazing job you pulled off at creating this. It's very informative and thoroughly pointed out.

I like RP'ing, but there is one problem. Since that I am living in a country with a different timezone than the US, it can get very hard for me to participate in direct-interactive RP's on a forum. Ofcourse, no one can solve this and I am not blaming anyone, but it just kinda puts a handbreak on me. Though I will give it some thought, and I wish that this new idea will have its deserved success :nancydshappy:
Snowboard Kids - Sounds like a saturday morning cartoon that's a glorified ad for toys and sugary cereals...
