Story
Chapter 1
Scene 1: A fairy's appearence
It was a peaceful but rainy night in Snow Town. Nancy Neil was sleeping happily in her canopy bed. She heard a noise like a bird was pecking on the window. She looked out the balcony. There was a fairy looking for shelter. “Hi!” Nancy greeted as she let the fairy in. The fairy made a twinkling sound (that means she’s happy.) “Shhhhhh, the people are sleeping!” said Nancy. She made a little house for her, put on her rain coat, hat and boots (her pajamas were under them,) got her umbrella, went outside and placed the fairy in the bushes where all the other fairies Nancy rescued lived.
“NANCY!” shouted two male teenage voices as she got back inside. It was her brothers, Andy and Parker. “What are you doing up? Its 3:31 in the morning!” said Parker. “Another fairy needed shelter,” said Nancy. “Nancy, quit acting like Pac-man and go back to sleep!” said Andy as he carried Nancy upstairs. “I’m not acting like Pac-man!” she yawned. “But there are fairies on Pac-man’s planet, aren’t there?” asked Parker. “Kids, what’s going on?” asked Mrs. Neil. “I had to rescue another fairy until Andy and Parker tortured me!” said Nancy. “When I was little, I used to say fairies are good luck!” said Mrs. Neil. “No Mom, she was up in the middle of the night and she’s soaked!” said Parker.
Scene 2: Nancy's discussion
Nancy couldn’t wait to tell her friends all about it. “You really saw a fairy in your garden?” asked Slash. “I wish I had a bush filled with fairies in my garden!” “Me too!” said Kaede. Andy and Parker heard the kids talking about fairies in Nancy’s room. They got so mad they went outside. But there was a sign on the bush that said “Keep out! Home to fairies.” Before they could get near the bush they fell into a trap. “OW, sheesh! Why would Nancy want to set traps so we can’t shoo those fairies away from that BUSH?” yelled Andy. “Maybe if you were nice to the fairies I wouldn’t set those traps again!” said Nancy as she set the trap up again. “That was so funny to see the looks on Andy and Parker’s faces, after getting trapped!” said Jam. “My baby sister, Starlet laughed too!” said Nancy. “WE’LL TEACH YOU LITTLE BRATS!” yelled both Andy and Parker. “Oh no, your brothers are totally mad!” cried Slash. “Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh!” screamed the children.
“That was close!” said Nicole. “Your brothers are like aliens! I’m scared of them,” said Wendy. “What were they trying to do?” asked Linda. “Fairies are asleep during the daytime. So they would have woken up and flown away if I didn’t set the traps for the strangers!” said Nancy. She turned to her brothers. “Just like Andy and Parker!” she said angrily.
After that they went to the kitchen and had a snack.
Scene3: Among the big boys
Nancy’s family decided to go to the park for fresh air. Andy and Parker went to play basketball with their friends. Parker was wearing tan jean shorts, a red jacket and a red baseball cap. Andy had on baggie blue pants with a blue jacket and a blue headband with a red and yellow peace sign on the front of it without the small dots.
“And Nancy set traps in front of the bush!” said Parker as he shot a basket. “You guys are scaring me!” said Nancy. “You are crazy!” said one of the teenage boys. “Am not!” said Nancy. “Are too!” they said together. Just then, an extremely tall boy tried to shoot a basket. But it missed and landed into Baby Starlet’s lap. She cried. “Oh, and watch where you’re shooting hoops!” hollered Nancy. “Come on Starlet, let’s go play on the swings and get away from those boys of nastiness!” she said as she pushed the stroller up to the swings.
After ten minutes of playing on the swings, Nancy noticed her sister coughing and sneezing. “Oh no!” she cried. “Andy, Parker, guys, you got to help me! Starlet has a cold!” “Were busy, get Mom and Dad!” said Andy. “I don’t know were they are!” said Nancy. She heard a noise of a big angry barking dog. She picked up Starlet from the stroller (she knew it wouldn’t be fast enough), got on her snowboard and zoomed as fast as she could. Nancy was safe right at the Tennis court where she found her parents. “Mommy, Daddy, Starlet is sick!” “Oh dear!” cried Mrs. Neil. “Andy, Parker, time to go home!” she called. “AWWWWW, but I was about to shoot a basket!” said Andy. “Nancy just told me Starlet doesn’t feel good” said Mrs. Neil.
At home, their Mom was cooking dinner when Nancy grabbed a yogurt from the refrigerator. “Nancy, you’ll spoil your supper!” said Mrs. Neil. “It’s for the fairies,” said Nancy. “All you talk about is fairies!” said Andy. “Are not!” said Nancy. “And I have to feed the fairies.” “Okay, but don’t forget to give Starlet her bottle,” said Mrs. Neil.
Scene4: Slash'splan
On the next day, Slash went to the Snow Town Public Library. He checked out a book on fairies and tried to call Nancy to see if she can come over and play. “Hello?” she said. “Hi Nancy this is Slash, can you come play?” he asked. “I can’t, my brothers and I home alone with Starlet. We’re babysitting,” she said. “Okay come play some other day, bye!” said Slash.
He met up with his other friends. “Hey guys, you know how much Nancy likes fairies?” he asked. “Uh, huh!” they said, “I’ve got a great idea, we’ll give her a special fairy party starting at midnight tonight!” said Slash.
Scene5: Fairy Dance
“Okay!” said Slash, reading his book with a flashlight. “Fairies are mostly distracted in sparkly stuff.” They got jars of glitter and threw it everywhere. Lots of fairies flew right over. When midnight struck, they all made a howling noise that woke up Nancy. She got on her clothes and went outside. “What’s this?” she smiled. “It’s a party!” said Jam. “For you!” said Tommy.
They made a noise so loud, Andy and Parker could hear it. When they opened the door, their faces turned red.“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! This yard is turning into FAIRYTOPIA!” “What’s the huge noise?” said Mrs. Neil as she went downstairs with Baby Starlet. “NANCY’S STUPID FRIENDS MADE A HUGE MESS IN OUR YARD!” yelled Parker. “No Mommy, they gave me a fairy party!” said Nancy.
