Hello, hello. You know, it's eerily silent here, but I'm pretty glad I joined anyway ;p

So I was lurking the Game FAQs forums in the SBK section after I started playing the games again recently, since I've been sick for a while. It's really funny how I still like these games as much as I did when I first got 'em over -ahem- a decade ago. And to my surprise, I found a forum, for the fandom of this game~

Anyway a brief introduction I guess! I'm usually a lurker but there's nothing to lurk here, so I'm gonna have to smack life into this place. (I guess you guys don't mind reviving old topics, since most have a last post of around 2008?)

My name is Kuma, but you could just call me Fox if you ever have to address me ;p I'm finishing up college in two months, and have some spare time when not working, which I've been dedicating to SBK lately for lack of anything else popping up. My favourite character is defffinitely Nancy. I noticed a lot of people really don't like her much, but she's always been most reliable to me, and I can usually pull off beating Lindas and Jams, heheh.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this novel of a post. See you around when I post in dead topics~

      Welcome to Snowboard Kids World!

Always good to see a new face here.

In regards to reviving old topics, as long as you have something to contribute it's fine, just don't spam the topics or anything of "that" sort and it's fine.

And be careful what you say about beating me, Kuma, you haven't tried racing against me when I'm really competitive! :lindalaugh:

Haha, that's a relief! At least it's more than one person a day, hm?

And yup, I'm not much of the spamming type. If anything most of my necromancy will be in the polls area and such, if you don't mind. I can't really think of many other polls to create ;p - And checking around, what was that underdog contest you had made years back all about? It seems like a fun quirky thing that keeps forums worth going to.

And maybe so, your royyyal highness, but even the best have their bad day, and that's an especially great day for Nancy to play dirty with some tricks :nancypurr:

Is that the words of a potential rival I hear? Sounds like a bit of a challenge to me! :lindamighty:

So far there are no contests up at the moment, mostly because there's not enough activity here for them to be of much influence.

Heheh, you never know Ms. Maltinie; it's the slow and docile ones always keep the best secrets to win :nancypurr:

And unfortunately that seems the case. Who knows, maybe I could try finding people to join? Even if it's been over a decade, it's funny how people still turn on their Nintendo for this game. I guess I'm just gonna have to go find 'em ~

The more people you can find that'll share the fandom of the game, the better!

Haha, I have to say, one of the most fun things in the forum is reading the posts between you two. They always make me lol ;p

Oh course, it would only be courteous of me to accept both challenges, however little they may be :nancypurr:

Nahh, I like the classic Nancy personality much more. As for the rules, the only one that confuses me just a little is the swearing. While I definitely know what won't be accepted, I don't know if all the words I consider to be quite light are not. It's not that I really swear a lot in forums, ass is the worst I'll usually get. I just don't want to make a mistake one daay and find a bunch of red blocks under my name

                      Heh :).

Nancy's not too good in the first SBK game, so I wouldn't be challenging either Ms. Maltinie or Ms. Couch in that 'arena'.

However she's a force to be reckoned with in SBK2. Linda is generally considered to be better (and equal best with Jam if you exclude Damien), but she dare not take Nancy lightly, a better Nancy player will destroy a lesser Linda player almost every time. I am a Jam main fyi.

I think as long as you don't go out and offend anyone I think that's a safe general rule.

Just keep things PG and we'll all get along smoothly.

We've only had to really ban one person from here for swearing, and that took a lot of effort on their part.

Haha, I'm just playing around is all, it is pretty hard to beat a lot of great players who are speed-types as Nancy, it's even really obvious at the start when I see everyone miles in front of me 10 seconds later. Of course, if they aren't focusing enough it's easy to beat 'em, like you said since most experts won't ;p And yea, she was a lot worse in SBK 1 than 2, but i still managed to go gold on every course with her as well as multi player, which..took a while.

And that's good to hear about the swearing - I won't get nasty enough on here, no worries. There's a time and a place, and it's not really necessary here.

Hey there Moonwulf, nice to meet you too, I hope I fit in ;p
