I meant that more in response to Mario kart. Snowboard Kids 1 while better than Mario Kart, its still lacking when compared to SBK2. I mean racing games in general are very rarely suited for this.

However why is SBK1 not as good: It's almost entirely because bombs can't be shot backwards so there is little to no point in leading the race, there are hardly any advantages to leading and as such the race feels a bit more artifical (rigged against the leader).

SBK+ would probably work though :P.

Linda is right about dodging in 1, particularly with knowledge of where you are being attacked but its not always possible and some items are just terrible in accuracy in number 1. Snowmen in particular. Which results in 'please don't give me snowman or bombs'. Pans are also far nastier and ghosts cause falls more commonly.

You obviously haven't played me in Snowboard Kids 1, Peachy.

Yup. Everyone is in their own communities, yet skill can be widely seperated between them :P. Street Fighter 4 is a great example of this, there are so many nubs online in that game, yet I am far from good in the arcades.

Rocks are better in 2. SBK1 is not without its good points, and its not that's bad, I just feel SBK2 is better in terms of balance and overall gameplay.

Rocks are smaller in two but they are more easily hidden in consequence :P. Also the trip animation is shorter in 1, the character slides a fair distance while tripping in two and therefore takes longer to recover if only slightly. However above all they are vurnerable to attack the entire time, not so in SBK1.

Also you can place rocks in front of the lift as you get off in 2, this does not work in 1.

Not true! I have managed to pull a few rock traps in 1, they're not as helpful, because you need more distance for the rock to be effective.

Also, don't put it just in FRONT of the lift, put it in an area they can't help but have to hit the rock, usually the angle where they would turn works best.
