I actually get that all the time from my physician, telling me not to over-exert myself lest I get myself sick from exhaustion or something. I have also had my mom a while back tell me not to try anything too dangerous, like snowboarding, but she eventually grew to accept that this is what I wanted to do.

Thank goodness you're really good at it, but do be careful! It would be terrible if our champion was to get hurt...

Next question: What was the most expensive thing you ever bought? With all the money you have, it must have been something pretty impressive!

To Midnight Angel: Actually that was a custom design made originally by my mother, I liked it so much that I decided to continue using it and modified it a couple times. I still have it, though I've had to have it remade a few times due to wear and tear.

How about both, your family, then just you? Thought your family would probably something more... business.

And the new question: When was the first time your ever snowboarded? Did you do well, and did you enjoy it right away?

Okay, well, in the case of my family, the most expensive thing we've ever bought was when we purchased a large estate out in Spain, we wanted it as a new base of operations for our company, but when we found another area had opened up in that country, we decided to turn it into a Summer home for us. It's a lot of land, but unfortunately it's too flat to set up a course or something, that part was a shame. Still, a lot of horses came with the estate, so most of it is used as a training ground for race horses. Speaking of that investment, we should probably see how they're doing now that Spring is here.

In my own case, I'd say the most expensive thing I ever bought was a resort on Turtle Island. It may be nice simply to "go" to Turtle Island, but I do also like my added bonuses when I go out on vacations too! (And before you ask, yes I did have my dad's help in buying that, mostly because they questioned the idea of having an 11-year old at the time buying property.)

In the case of when I started boarding, originally I didn't like the sport, I was in fact against virtually everything it stood for. I eventually started getting into it mostly when my dad started moving into the snowboarding business, and I decided to try out some of the resources we had in regards to it. In a few months I began to enjoy myself, then eventually started getting pretty good at it. I'll be honest when I say I was no where near as good at it back then as I am now, but then again any snowboarder can tell you that with their own experiences.

Interesting yes, I hope it all works out alright for the company!
I guess all boarders started off from scratch, you can't be the best right away, even you huh.

Next question: Do you enjoy school, or are you like Slash, you'd do anything to skip it all? Are you a good student?

And another because I missed a day yet again (this is become quite a bad habit huh?): What made you decide for Japan as the final event in the Maltinie tournament? Any special reasons?

Question 1: I don't consider myself "diligent" when it comes to school, but I don't try to ditch like Slash does, I do have a future to plan for. I consider myself a pretty good student, just not a bookworm to the extent like Wendy is. (Sorry Wendy!)

Question 2: You mean that race in Ninja Land? Well, I felt that was the most out-of-the-ordinary of the courses overall, aside from of course Quicksand Valley, but still, it wouldn't have made sense to put Ninja Land ahead of Quicksand Valley considering the difficulty of having to race against Sinobin as a surprise event! Sure, Quicksand Valley is hard, but it's got nothing against a race against that ninja.

Hey, wait, does that mean the appearance of Shinobin in the tournament was actually scheduled, he didn't just appear out of nowhere when you went there?

On a side note, I've always had more trouble with Quicksand Valley than that final race, and picking you as a racer is probably the main reason for that (but you're so, soooo good that it's still a pleasure to race them!)

Back on track with the next question, of course related (makes it easier for me hehehe) : Do you have any contacts with Shinobin and Kaede? Do you actually see them out of tournaments or do they just show up like that for a race?

Oh, and yes, don't ever dissapear, please! The fact that you weren't in sbk DS is reason enough not to play it! Don't go!! *clings on*

Don't you worry, I never plan to leave!

Well, the whole thing with Sinobin and Kaede kinda happened "during" the whole tournament, they wanted in after we had already scheduled the first 6 races, and with the other two courses already scheduled afterwards and no "gold" course already set up, it all began to work out. So, I kinda added Ninja Land as a last race so that they could have their race with the rest of us. Originally the "Gold Pass" was supposed to simply be a trophy that meant that whoever won it was the true champion.

In the case of having contacts with them, I do talk with Kaede on and off, she's actually pretty social for being a ninja, kinda catches me off guard considering most ninjas aren't supposed to talk much. In Sinobin's case...I don't see him much, or hear from him; sure I get the occasional note with a dagger stuck in it on the castle door telling me he's in town, but otherwise he keeps to himself, that suspicious ninja...

Hey, that explains it all quite well! I was wondering why that last race wasn't gold themed whereas both the previous one had obvious links to their pass. You, miss Maltinie, are a genius at tournament conception! I'm noting here that Nicole shamelessly copied your tournament for hers...
Those two ninjas are sure weird, but you've got to admit they've got skill... Although they're no match for you on a Star Board, nope!

Next question: How exactly do you win the Maltinie tournament? Did you have to win every single race? Was it point based? Who was allowed to get those passes? So many questions here, how does it work?!

The Maltinie Cup actually can be held in many ways, the most common is what everyone here already knows, and that's to keep racing until you've perfected every course.

The original Maltinie Cup objective was determined by your overall performance in the race; much like how golf keeps score, your performance was judged on your placement in each race, so a lower score is better. The lowest 4 scores after the first 6 races would be the ones to take on Quicksand Valley and Silver Mountain, with the loser of the original 6 given the option to be an alternate in case one of the 4 finalists didn't make it. In Ninja Land's case, I'll admit I threw the original rules out the window at that point since the ninjas wanted in, and we all just eventually wanted to have a good time.

The most common way seems quite hard to actually perform out of a game, the others who already passed a course might get slightly bored having to redo the same over and over while another tries to win.
The overall best seems quite fair, and I guess those passes are there to guarantee those last few races are in between the best racers. The best for the hardest tracks, seems fit!

So my next question: We all know that you cruised through that tournament to victory (was it ever in doubt?), but what about the other's performances? Who won which race? Who qualified for the hell known as Quicksand Valley, and who was your challenger aside from the ninjas in that final race?

Next question: Do you ever use your great fortune to buy stuff for the other kids, aside from on special occasions? If any of them was in financial need, would you help out?

Another one: Do you usually try out new courses on your own to get the hang of it, or do you only board with others during races or for fun?

Wow, I started slacking all of the sudden, I gotta stop doing that!

Question 1: To be honest, I can't really remember every single detail of the race. I mean I know that I won it, but I can't really remember who won each and every race. Though I can say throughout the competition my biggest problem in the race was Jam, surprisingly. I thought it would have been Slash, but he had troubles of his own during the races as well. The only time Slash really got to be a problem was at Ninja Land, he wanted to beat the ninja just as much as I did.

Question 2: Plenty of times! I may come off as someone who'd be selfish, but I'm actually very generous with my money. Taking everyone out for lunch, providing transportation to courses far outside our reach, everything! I even help Wendy fund some of her research.

Question 3: I certainly wouldn't be this good if I just showed up at every race and attempted to learn everything on the fly, now would I? I tend to go to the courses pretty often to practice, or I can just practice in my castle too, it works!

Yes, I can see how doing that track keeps you always on your toes, it's not the hardest, but definitely a decent challenge! Seems to work as you're as good as ever!
Nancy gets along quite well with everybody, yeah.
I'm sure you could've dealt with another of those snowmen, they're hardly a challenge for you!

Well I've gotten a bit late on my question asking again, so here goes:

First: What happens to all the money you get from tricks? Do you actually keep it after the race, because if the entry for a tournament is free, tricking a lot seems like an easy way to get loads of extra money, even if you lose in the end... Nancy and Wendy would be richer than you by now! So how does it work exactly?

Next: Some of the races clearly aren't held around Snow Town, care to tell us where about are the tracks located?

And last: Do you ever play the games you star in with your friends? If so, are you still the best?

When we first encountered the dinosaur pretty much everyone was scared out of their wits, I mean who really expects a dinosaur to appear in this time period? Sure the dinosaur was a little hostile, but if it were completely hostile it would have completely attacked us, instead we simply managed to tire it out by racing against it and defeating it.

Question 1: Most of the money we get from races (This includes the tricks we pull off during the races) is used specifically for our next races, but a fraction of it does go to us after say, a tournament is over. Money gained for that is dependent on performance, and a bonus is provided for certain things, such as "Best Trickster", "Best Handling", the like. The winner of the races of course also get prize money. Everything else after the tournament goes to the management of the courses. (Needless to say, most of those places are owned by Maltinie Co. or Couch Corporation.)

Question 2: That'd ruin part of the fun of imaging where they are, wouldn't it? I mean given some of the courses it's a little more obvious "where" they would be held, but I don't want to ruin the fun of the ambiguity of where they're based! :lindamighty:

Question 3: If I wasn't the best at a game I was a star in, I'd question why I was declared a star in the game in the first place. :lindalaugh:

Oh, getting philosophical are we? But I guess you're right on that.

Next question: Do you have any non-snowboarder friends you tend to stick around with? If not, do you think it would be a possibility? Or is boarding the only way to get in your friend list?

Next: Do you have any events planned? Tournaments you're going to host, any that you're going to race in? What can we expect in the near future?

And next: What makes you popular the most, the fact that you're the heir to a great fortune, or your skills as a snowboarder?

Question 1: Of course I do, though I would be going through a very long list names if I were to start on that. It doesn't take much to be my friend, just don't try and wrong me and we usually get along very well. :lindalaugh:

Question 2: During the Spring/Summer timeline I usually don't hold events more because that's the time school lets out, and most people want to spend that time either to themselves or out training. We do have a couple of exhibition matches against one another during this time, but snowboarding tournaments don't officially start until late Fall.

Question 3: I'd like to say my popularity comes from every imaginable angle. Yes, I am a great snowboarder, and yes I am the richest, most beautiful girl in town, and I like to think that all contributes to my popularity. I know it's wrong to brag, but how can I really not when I have such a very good lifestyle?

Midnight Angel's Question: It's been a rivalry since I was a little girl; it mostly started when both companies began to take a hold in the winter sports industry. It's kind of like the rivalry between McDonald's and Burger King, they both step into the industry, and there's gonna be people who don't like it and want to one-up each other. Both businesses have constantly done that, and it's even gone as far as our tournaments.

Now the rivalry between Nicole and I, well, not only is it in relation to each of us being on opposite sides of the business room, but let's just say we don't see eye to eye on "Who should truly be the one in the spotlight." In short, there can only be one rich, popular girl in this school, and I'll make sure it's me and not that screechy-toned Nicole!

I try to get on the slopes whenever I can, but yes, occasionally things do prevent me from honing my skills further. I usually like to practice more when I have others to practice with as well. You seem to be more motivated when you've got friends practicing with you, you know?
