[align=center]GENERAL RULES

+ Be friendly and helpful to whoever you can.
+ Respect the admins as well as the other members.
+ No double posting {exception to this rule is in the GALLERY RULES section}.
+ Absolutely NO ADVERTISING on anywhere else in the forum other than the Advertising [Plugging] board. This includes PMs. We allow one button (affiliation size) or link per site in your signature, but only a button. A message about the plot, etc. is considered advertising and is not allowed. This can be included in your advertisement in the Directory, however, and you are free to bump that advertisement once a week. Any extra advertising in your signature will be removed without notice.
+ No posting graphics that are deemed as inappropriate or contain nudity. If you are unsure, please contact an admin before posting said graphics or pictures.
+ Absolutely NO STEALING of any creative materials, including, but not limited to: graphics, skins, tutorials, textures, etc. If you have stolen something from any other member on Shadowplay and it has been proven by the staff as a whole, all of your stolen content will be deleted (ex. if it's a site stolen, your advertisement will be deleted) and you may be banned, depending on the gravity of the theft.
+ Profanity in your posts is allowed on occasion, but nothing offensive, directed at other members, in your username or in any title of threads.
+ If profanity/offensive words are found in your username, you will be PMed and able to change your username. If you do not reply within two weeks (14 days), it will be changed for you (but you will receive an email with your new username <3). It will be an alternate version of your current username without the profanity.
+ Please limit the amount of personal information you give out on here. We are a friendly community here and aim to keep it safe, but it's never a good idea to put too much information on the internet (ex. your street address, phone number, etc.). It's up to you what you do in PM, but please don't post this information in common threads that anyone can see.
+ Follow the rules posted throughout the boards for the specific boards.
+ All content on Shadowplay should be inclusive and with Shadowplay. No exclusive material. This includes but is not limited to challenges needing to be within the challenges forum, no exclusive clubs and no exclusive resources that require you to pay or do tasks to obtain access. Shadowplay is all about being inclusive to all.
+ No multiple accounts. There is no reason to have them as this is not a roleplay. They will be removed without question.
+ We like to be an open and friendly environment, but when rule breaking affects or annoys other members, we will contact you. First, you will get a warning. If it continues to happen, you will get a one week suspension from the activity you were doing [ex. advertising through PM - you would not be able to PM anyone for a week]. If it still continues, then you will be banned.


+ Double and triple posting is allowed, but please don't post more than three times in a row.
+ No advertising. There is a board for that.
+ General forum rules apply {no flaming - respect everyone else as they should respect you}.
+ These rules apply to both members and guests.


+ Only post one gallery.
+ Edit the first post of your gallery please, don't post your graphics in subsequent posts - it looks messy that way. You may post saying you updated it.
+ Double posting is allowed to say that you've updated your gallery, but only every 3 days. If you update it more frequently than that, just post in the Pimp my Gallery game if you want it to be posted in my someone else first.
+ If you haven't updated your gallery in at least 4 months, it will be moved to the Shelf. Simply post here to get it moved back to the proper board.


+ Keep all graphics in your signature to 600x300 or smaller. If your signature graphics are larger than that, they will be removed without notification.
+ Having a link or small button to your site in your signature is allowed, but no PMing others to join your site. If anyone is doing this, please contact an admin.
+ Your signature height may not exceed 400px (including any images and text).


+ When requesting, please have patience. If your post is clear enough, though, someone should fill it soon.
+ Once the request is complete, please make sure to credit the artist, wherever you're using it. If you've requested graphics used for your site, please credit the artist @ Shadowplay.
+ If you repeatedly request graphics or skins and do not credit the person who fills the request for you, you may be denied being able to request anymore at Shadowplay.
+ You may make or take/claim up to three (3) requests per section at a time. If you have two requests in the same thread, it still counts as two requests, not one.
+ Rules are more elaborated in the Requests boards. Questions? Just ask an Admin or Request Moderator. <3


+ Unless otherwise stated, you must assume that you need to wrap your image in code and that there are no 'in' posts allowed {'In' posts are when you post in the thread saying that you will do the challenge, but without your actual challenge entry}. It should be an assumption by now, so just because the staff may accidentally leave it out doesn't mean you should try to bend this rule.
+ Most of the time, 'pre-mades' are not allowed. These are graphics that have been made before, that you have not done specifically for the challenge on Shadowplay. Pre-mades are also graphics that have been entered in a challenge on Shadowplay already. It's hard to tell if you have done it before on another site, but if the staff deems it as a pre-made {and it was specified that pre-mades are not allowed for that specific challenge}, your entry will be disqualified. If a staff member does not specify whether or not pre-mades are allowed, assume that they are not allowed.
+ No voting for yourself in the polls (or threads when votes are PMed). Also assume that this is always the case, even if the Moderator doesn't state it in the voting thread.
+ If we deem that it is the same composition in two or more challenge entries, all but the first one posted will be disqualified from their respective challenges (changing the text or canvas size and posting it in multiple challenges isn't fair to others who work hard to make unique challenge entries each time and also is pretty much a pre-made).
+ Remember to read the rules in the challenges, regarding size & general restrictions, otherwise you risk disqualification. <3


+ If you ever want to change your username, just PM an admin (saranghae., vanessax17 or Highwater). However, you must have 50 posts for every name change (so if you want a second one, it must say at least 100 posts in your profile).
+ Please be patient, do not PM an additional admin if less than a week has passed.
+ If you don't have 50 posts, you can always request one from the bank, though it costs Shadowplay money (which you can earn from advertising, posting resources, getting promoted, etc. <3). [/align]
