@Tom12422: my xbox360 pad was recognized by the game directly, so I assume you have to use some apps as joy2key or xpadder, but I don't know really well how they work so someone else may help you better on the subject.

@julialuna: I'm not realy into character swapping, as it's good for a laugh but most of the time the result isn't perfect, tho I may explain later how to do it if nobody else wants to. (for now I have to go eat something ).

In my case character swap is a must since most characters I like aesthetically have a gameplay I hate and vice versa xD
In SFxT and USFIV it is very easy I do that all the time (of course using the "monkey face fix"), but now it seems a bit more complicated

I knew capcom changed something with the DataAsset files, it's now divided in 2 folders, and the files that we need to edit to change the colors are now in the 01 folder of the characters (with the other costume files, where they should have been from the start).


I'll show how to swap 2 characters by swapping Nadeshiko (EAB) over R.Mika (CED): it's not hard, just boring.

Take the 01 folder from StreetFighterV/StreetFighterV/Content/Chara/EAB/SKelMesh
Copy it somewhere else and rename every files in the 4 folders (DataAsset, Material, Mesh and Texture) from EAB to CED
ex: DA_EAB_Costume_01.uasset into DA_CED_Costume_01.uasset

Open every file in your hex editor and replace every entry you find of EAB into CED.

But only when it's text you can read that is linking to files/folders, do not edit EAB in this case for example:

(it's not linking to Nadeshiko there, it's part of another word that means nothing ~OEABABA" or something... I don't know what that gibberish is, so don't edit it).

Make a backup of R.Mika 01 folder (StreetFighterV/StreetFighterV/Content/Chara/CED/SKelMesh)
Replace it with the 01 folder containing the files you edited.

Done.

Same thing can be done with the costumes, editing 02 (or 03) into 01:



But be careful, it's easier to make mistakes like on the 3rd hex screenshot as you may find numerous entries of 02 or 03 that you must not edit.


As you can see in the last screenshot, capcom didn't put other colors for Ken's alt costume as you can't buy it from the shop yet...
They were in the beta files...

http://www.fluffyquack.com/temp/Mika-Cammy-cameras.rar - That has the uncensored Cammy intro and Mika's butt slap. Pak4 is Cammy and pak7 is Mika so those have to be extracted first.

@unclefestor: Did you make the effect on Necalli's skin by editing the material or the normal map? (or something else?)


edit: DLC characters have been confirmed to be 100k Fight Money each, rumors were right and I was prerpared for that (it seems ok for dlc)

but I just learned that the story costumes will be 40k FM each... :surprised:

Let's start to collect some FM before the shop opens in march (with Alex), story mode and survival (each level) award some the 1st time you finish them, then it's winning fights online (50FM a win).

im pretty sure what he has is a badly injected texture.

I got that a lot of times with my bearded ken.

for editing textures u need to edit srma sss mask normal and color and paint black in mask so it doesnt change color
