I couldn’t pass this coin up yesterday when I saw it. The surfaces to me are incredible. Some people might disagree and like them blast white. It’s crusty with beautiful gold toning with a hint of green and reds underneath the crust. Would love to see something with original surfaces other than seated.

Your Oregon Trail half is a beautiful example of an outstanding American coinage design.

How about a half cent that sold for one million dollars plus 15%?  Someone from Switzerland apparently visited the U.S. about 1795, and it had been in or near Basel ever since.  Not mine, alas!  Sorry I couldn't find a way to paste it here.

Sorry again!  That link directs to the Goldberg home page.  Anyone interested will need to click Catalog Archives and scroll to Sale 77, far down the list.  It is Lot 20 in that sale.  I would have deleted the whole posting, but that seems to be verboten.

That 1932-D Washington has a "holy grail" look to it, eh?  Twenty-five years ago when I was assembling my silver quarter set, I would have paid close to stupid cash for such a specimen.

That’s a real nice looking quarter, a good coin for my box of 20!
Here is a CT I put aside for my daughter, along with the original box.
