Thanks for the link.  I checked on 3 other websites first.  It is too bad that it came down to that.  Basically excuse making if the PND people claiming 120 pound tackles or is their whole football team weigh less than that?
I see a tackle listed at 260 pounds:

The PND ADs comments are outlandish since she agreed to have Detroit Loyola from Division 7 to be in Pontiac Notre Dame's CHSL AA division and PND was Division 4 last year, which is further lower in division than BBR was up.

for the other 3 AA teams- how do you fill a schedule??....IMO, this crossover thing won't last for the other schools either....nobody outside the 5 all boy schools have a frosh team so their JV teams are made up of 9th and 10th grade players and typically have 25-30 max on them- that's where the real problem exists- those games will be really bad....DC's JV team lost to CC's frosh team this past fall by 45+- how long do you think those kids are going to continue to play??...ya, folks say it's only 1 game but kids don't look at it that way and with all of this concussion stuff around........all in all a tough situation for a storied league that's model has become antiquated in football

Pretty simple the CHSL called PND's bluff. PND doesn't have many options either...maybe the Metro.

With 30 programs to fill schedules on, she is going to be busy trying to get full schedules for all the teams.

You think? My guess is this is a 1 year scenario until cooler heads prevail. Also just because they are not allowed to compete for CHSL hardware doesn't mean these schools can play eachother. I'd bet 90%+ of their sports schedules stay the same.

Personally if a league member gets kicked out of the league for refusing to play one game that the league assigns to it, then all league members should not be able to schedule the team that got the boot.

“It’s not just the playing up, it’s the playing down, too,’’ said ND Prep assistant AD Maureen Radulski. “It’s about not just our kids, it’s about all the kids. We would never go and do this to another program that they wanted us to go and play a crossover the other way.’’

That's funny.  I never heard this when they were playing the C-D schools.

No CHSL team can schedule them in any sport non-conference next year. They should join the OAA if they are smart they would've been prepared for that, they could take lathrups spot for a year.

Not a great argument that Pontiac Notre Dame is going with, seems like a Division 4 playoff team should be able to handle a game with a Division 2 playoff team even if that team is a traditional powerhouse. They have ended up playing Country Day in the playoffs who has had Brother Rice on the schedule, they had Powers Catholic on their schedule recently who will play Brother Rice and Country Day. Just not seeing a great argument on their part.
