I know Muskegon was #4 nationally in 2008. I thought there was a team that hit 2 though. Anyone?

Did some digging. 

Lowell in 2004 was ranked #3 nationally.

Yeah that's not surprising.  Although national rankings are subjective and hard to take too serious.  

That lowell team was awesome, west side of state was pretty awesome then.

I could be off base, but I seem to recall a year in the 90's where Pershing was nationally ranked top 5 preseason.....

that could be ... long time ago dont remember that.  probably on one of the teams larry foote played on.  I seemed to remember he was a two time all american for pershing.  don't remember if they were any good though.

That seams normal Qman
Couse Pershing was a power school
In Michigan in basketball along with River Rouge

yes pershing has been a power school in bball.  definitely not in football though.  had a few decent years but nothing special.

Rouge in class b and Pershing in class A won a lot of state championships
